The Microsoft 365 Copilot Analyst agent is an AI-powered assistant for data analysis. The Analyst agent is like having a skilled data analyst on hand to help you make sense of data quickly without requiring advanced expertise.
Why use Analyst?
- Save time: You don’t have to look through thousands of rows of data or multiple files like Excel spreadsheets, CSV files, databases, or others and then try to consolidate that data for analysis. Analyst does it for you!
- You don’t have to be a data analyst: Just ask a simple question about your data and Analyst will do things like calculate statistics, identify trends, and show outliers.
- Get easy-to-read reports: You’ll get a report based on your question in easy-to-read language and formatting that surfaces insights and can include visuals like charts and tables.
Where to find Analyst
Sign into microsoft365.com with your work or school account. You should see your name and picture at the bottom left corner of the screen.
You can find Analyst under Agents.
How to use Analyst
- Open Microsoft 365 Copilot.
- Under Agents in the left navigation pane, select Analyst.
- Enter a question about the data you want to analyze.
- Select the + icon and then select Attach content to supply the file(s) that have the data you want to analyze.
- You will see a list of suggestions, but you can also search for a file. Additionally, you can upload one or more files from your device or attach content from the cloud by selecting the Upload or OneDrive icon next to the Search bar.
