A yawn escaped Jensen's lips as he swept his toothbrush over his bottom left molars in a circular motion. The bristles were soft and worn, obviously wearing out. It was about time for a him to get a new toothbrush- it'd probably been close to a year since he last got a one. Jensen thought he could remember reading somewhere, maybe in a brochure at the dentist's office, that you should replace your toothbrush every three months. He made a mental note to see about making an appointment with Doctor Duchac or Doe as he insisted on everyone calling him. Doe was much easier to remember than Duchac. If Jensen was lucky he might be able to get the appointment in while he was still a ward of the state.
Sliding the toothbrush once more across his front teeth, he leaned over and spit into the sink. The water was on, but just barely. The small trickle pooled slightly in the white basin and swept the reminisce of suds and saliva down the drain. He slipped the brush beneath the running water, rinsing it off before tapping it lightly against the side of the sink and slipping it into the ceramic holder leaning against the mirror. Cupping his right hand, Jensen let it fill with water before lifting it to his lips and swishing the slightly warm liquid in his mouth, clearing away the excess toothpaste. He spit one more time into the sink and then grinned into the mirror as he ran his tongue over his teeth.
Jensen was just drying his hands off when the door opened, slowly at first before it was practically thrown against the wall. There hadn't been any reason for him to keep the door locked after he was dressed. If anything it was just an annoyance for the other three kids in the house who shared the bathroom. He grinned at the girl as she sidled up to the counter, standing on her tippy toes and gripping the counter with one hand as she leaned up to grab her own toothbrush.
“'Morning,” Jensen ruffled her hair, earning himself a scowl and a mumbled reply as she stuck her toothbrush into her mouth dry and without toothpaste. “Hey,” He uncapped the tube of Aquafresh and held it out. “Toothpaste and water or it doesn't count.”
Lips turning down, Adair pouted at him. She pulled the brush out of her mouth anyway, holding it out so he could squeeze a bit of the green, red, and white striped paste onto it. He recapped it and pulled the handle on the faucet up again to allow just a trickle of water to flow and watched her dip the brushes head beneath it before leaving the room to finish getting ready.
Rain was already up when Jensen entered the room they shared. He looked over the younger boys shoulder as he walked by on the way to the dresser. There was a pile of cards on the desk, only half of them filled out, folded, and secured with a single sticker each. They were X-Men themed, the cartoon version not the movie, and had all sorts of cheesy comments scrawled on them to go with the various characters. The kid had attempted to get Hayden, Jensen, or Margaret to fill the valentines out for him all week but they had refused so he was stuck filling them out at the last minute.
Jensen riffled through his drawers, pulling out a long sleeved t-shirt, socks, and a clean pair of jeans. He shimmied out of the sweatpants he had slipped on after his shower and dressed quickly before grabbing his tennis shoes, backpack, and viola and heading downstairs. Upon reaching the living room, Jensen caught sight of the old VCR clock. It was the right time for once, Hayden had set it for Denis about a week and a half ago so he'd be able to record the Super Bowl. Sitting down on the bottom step, Jensen slid his feet into the worn and still tied shoes. He had to wiggle his feet a bit and pull the tongue up when his feet were in. Normally he would have actually untied them, but since they were already in poor condition and he was planning on buying a new pair soon there wasn't really any point to.
Before he stood up, Jensen checked his backpack to make sure he had everything he'd need for the day. After school he was going straight over to Jared's to hang out. Somehow he had managed to get the evening off from work, apparently Amy loved valentines day and, since she lacked a boyfriend of her own, was planning to give out little heart shaped cookies she had made for free. She was a good cook and Sophia thought it was a pretty good advertising move. Jensen really didn't mind having the day off, especially now that he actually had a reason to celebrate the Hallmark holiday.
It had been years since he had last bothered to do much involving it. The last time any of his teachers had bothered to have a valentines day celebration, not counting his Spanish class last year- Jensen swore the foreign language teachers used every chance they could get to have a party- was in the sixth grade. It had been awkward and he had just received the ordinary cards and candy, nothing special like some kids. It always used to make him feel a bit jealous when he'd see some kids hand out small heart shaped boxes of chocolates to their 'bestest' friends or kids they liked.
The last time Jensen had received something other than the obligatory cards and lolipops or Hershey's kisses was when he was in the second grade. His parents had still been alive then and there had been several childhood friends that his Mom insisted he give something 'extra special' for the holiday. There was one girl in particular that he had grown up with, Michelle Williams, that he had traded boxes of candy hearts with. She had been his best friend and next door neighbor for as long as he could remember. They used to have play dates after school and their parents babysat for each other sometimes. Jensen hadn't seen her since the night his parents died. He and his siblings had been staying at the Williams while his parents went to some sort of dinner for his father's work.
Snagging his hoodie from the living room couch- he had accidentally left it there when he got home from work the night before- Jensen pulled open the front door and headed out into the chilly February air. It was three weeks and half into the new semester and his schedule was pretty much the same as it was in the fall. The only difference was that seventh period he now had American Government instead of World History.
Jared had opted out of the optional history class, instead he was finished after sixth period now that football was over. The team had gone to State and it had been a long five hour drive with Jared's family to watch his boyfriend play in one of the state college's stadiums. It had been worth it, even though they hadn't won. The loss had been no fault of Jared's or the rest of the offense. The game had been a good one, close till the end. The other team had one by a last minute lucky field goal. It was a disappointment but far from a crushing defeat. He still insisted on giving Jensen a ride home most days- especially when Jensen wasn't sticking around for quartet practice. Most of the time the quarterback worked on his Calculus or Chemistry homework in the library or in the lobby outside of Jensen's last class. It wouldn't be much longer, only a month and a half or so, until Jensen would be done with school after seventh period every day. The quartet was going to the state competition in late March and they were pretty secure in both their previous piece and their new one.
When he reached the corner where the bus stop was, Jensen set his bag and instrument on the sidewalk and shrugged on his hoodie, zipping it up and pulling the hood up in order to fend off the cool morning air. It wasn't extremely cold, just a little nippy. In fact, it was almost surprisingly warm for the time of year. Jensen half expected it to snow some mornings- last year there had been a cold snap in mid may that left a thin layer of snowflakes on the ground for almost the entire school day. The bus arrived about two minutes later and he climbed on, settling into an empty seat near the front.
It was one of the older, and slightly smaller than normal, buses with dark green seats instead of gray. The seat was chilly due to it's proximity to the door and the cold of the material soaked through Jensen's jeans. There were little comments and scratched out words on the back of the seat in black permanent marker. Kristian + Rebecca surrounded by a heart, and a Paige ♥ Rahi with Rahi scratched out with what looked like a regular blue ink ball point pen.
The ride to school was a short one like usual. It seemed as if everyone Jensen saw on the way to class was in a different mood. A few of the girls he passed, like Kristin Bell and Alona Tal, had brightly covered gift bags or a garbage sack filled with what Jensen assumed were little valentines day cards or gifts for their friends. One girl that Jensen recognized as being one of the Sophomore class officers, was standing in the middle of the walkway leading from the science building to the Auditorium handing out Hershey's kisses to everyone who passed. It was kind of sweet of her to do. He also saw one girl that looked as if she had been crying, mascara and eyeliner smeared.
Two steps into the orchestra room he was assaulted by a box of Sweethearts. He barely caught it with his free hand, fumbling with it and clasping it against his chest. Raising an eyebrow, Jensen looked up in time to see Danneel hit Mike in the head with another box.
“Damn it woman!” Mike scowled, leaning over to pick the box up from the floor. The cellist was the one with a bag of candy so Jensen had to assume Danneel had recently had the box thrown at her. “That hurt!”
“Didn't your Mom teach you not to throw things at girls?”
“It's candy! And I didn't throw it anywhere it would hurt-”
She scowled at him, “It did hurt pervert. Sides what if you had hit my violin? You wouldn't be joking around then.”
“Fine, I'm sorry,” Mike rolled his eyes and glanced over at Jensen, a smile quirking his lips. The cellist was wearing a black T-shirt with an arrow sticking out of a red splotch that Jensen assumed was supposed to be blood. Below it in white script was: WTF, CUPID?. He had to wonder how long it would be before Mike was asked to change into another shirt.
Holding up the box of candy, Jensen quirked a smile at his friend, “Thanks.”
“At least someone is appreciative,” Mike turned his attention back to Danneel who was standing next to him, hand held out palm up. “What?”
“My candy,” Danneel shifted her stance, her left hand coming up to rest on her hip. “Nicely this time?”

Orchestra went by pretty fast, Mrs. Smith brought out a few valentines day themed songs, a Serenade and a couple of modern love songs that had been transcribed for a string orchestra. It was kind fun and mildly entertaining. At one point Mike dropped a candy heart and it fell through the F-hole of his cello. The instrument rattled a bit whenever he moved it till Mrs. Smith had enough and made him go into the lobby to get it out in addition to throwing away the open box of Sweethearts he was sneaking candy from.
After class Danneel walked with him to the bridge between the science building and the commons. She gave him a white envelope with a Hershey's hugs tapped to the top, a grin on her lips. Ever since freshmen year, she had given him some sort of card on every holiday it was 'socially required' to. They had become friends not long after he had transferred to the school when they were paired up in Orchestra for some silly music theory assignment Mrs. Smith had the freshmen do to make sure they knew all the basics. Jensen hadn't been at the school very long and ever since entering the foster program it had been difficult for him to make friends. Probably due to the fact that he switched homes quite a few times in the first few years. Danneel had latched onto him not long after she had gotten him to 'speak up'.
Whether or not she had ever been interested in him as more than a friend, Jensen wasn't sure. She wasn't now, if anything Danneel had always been super excited about trying to convince him to give dating so-and-so guy a chance. Never mind the fact that he actually considers himself bisexual, the violinist had never actually discussed girls with him- always boys. Not that he talked with her much about such things, but there had been the rare occasions she had gotten him to open up about it. Danneel was really good at getting him to open up about himself.
They split up at the bridge and she headed up to the science building for her second period class while he continued on past the commons towards the English and History building. There were more students milling around, savoring the last few minutes before second period started. He passed Jessica Alba walking with Valarie Rae Miller near the library; the dancer was holding a fluffy white bear that hand it's arms wrapped around a single red rose. It was kind of cute.
The crowd of students was thinning out by the time he reached the English courtyard, most students were already in class chatting with classmates or exchanging valentines day mementos. Pulling open the door to the indoor lobby that led to Kripke's classroom, Jensen was only slightly surprised to see his boyfriend leaning against the dark blue lockers lining the wall of the lobby. Hardly anyone used the lockers- there were only a few combination locks scattered here and there.
Jared was watching him with a smile brightening his face, dimples clearly visible in the odd mix of fluorescent and natural light. He was in a blind spot- an area of the room that none of the open classroom doors could see. Walking forward, Jensen paused about two steps away from the taller teenager, chin tilted slightly up so he could look the quarterback in the eye.
“Hey,” Jensen breathed out, voice soft. He shifted his weight to his right foot and lifted his right hand to wrap around his backpack strap. The cool weight of the ring Jared had given him for Christmas stood out suddenly as it caught the light in the corner of his eye.
“Hey,” Jared replied as he stepped away from the wall. Reaching out, he rested his hands on Jensen's hips and pulled him closer. They weren't normally very touchy during school hours and when they were it was generally Jared who initiated it. Sandy had been right when she said Jared could be rather physically affectionate.
Jensen's lifted his free hand and rested it against Jared's chest, not pushing away but not pulling him closer either, “Jared, what are-”
He was cut off by his boyfriend's lips meeting his, a slick tongue slipping into his open mouth. Really, Jensen couldn't be blamed for responding to the kiss. He loved Jared kisses, Jared's mouth, pretty much everything about his boyfriend. Plus the other teen was a really, really good kisser. Not that Jensen actually had experience kissing anyone else. He also couldn't be blamed for his fingers clenching in the fabric of Jared's hooded sweatshirt or for pulling him closer. And his right hand sliding around the base of Jared's skull? Not his fault at all.
They kissed for maybe a minute, long and deep, ignoring the few others students that passed by. It lasted till they were finally interrupted by the bell buzzing overhead. Jared stepped away from him with a pleased smile on his face.
“Happy Valentines Day.”
Suddenly hot and perhaps slightly more than uncomfortable in his jeans, Jensen sighed, unable to muster up a glare as he pulled at bottom of his hoodie. “I hate you.”
“Liar,” Jared snagged his hand, intertwining their fingers and squeezing lightly. “You love me.”
“Yeah,” Jensen dropped his gaze to the floor. He could feel a blush warming his cheeks.
“Mr. Padalecki, Mr. Ackles, you're late,” Shifting his gaze up Jensen saw Kripke standing at the door to his class. “If you two don't want detention I'd suggest making your way to your desks.”
“Yes, sir,” Jensen slid his fingers free of Jared's and spared a smile at his boyfriend before heading towards the door, Jared one step behind him.
The beginning of class started like any other, announcements on the loud speaker followed by the pledge of allegiance. Jensen went through the motions like most people, standing and reciting the pledge from memory. At the beginning of the semester Kripke had redone the seating chart and he was now sitting near the center of the class. Jared still wasn't next to him, but he was closer. Instead of being across the room the quarterback was now two rows over and one row back. In front of Jensen now was Alona Tal, she was just standing there, yawning as the rest of the class droned on. Jensen thought she was probably one of those people who refused to say the pledge of allegiance because of some principal or political opinion- not due to a religious belief.
After the pledge Kripke made his way to the front of the room, a plastic Safeway bag in one hand. “Due to Valentines Day, I am being forced to hand out these silly candy grammes some of you paid a ridiculous amount of money,” seventy five cents each, Jensen had boughten three of the things- one for Jared, one for Danneel, and one for Allie, “to send to each other. Also, if you filled out the 'Matchmaker Quiz' on Friday you can pick up your results in the commons during lunch. Start reading your homework or work on the essay due this Friday while I hand these things out.”
Reaching into the front pocket of his backpack, Jensen pulled out the latest book Kripke had assigned. He was already finished with the assignment due Friday and was about a quarter of the way through this next book, Catch-22. By the time Kripke was done walking around the room, Jensen was surprised to find seven candy grammes placed at the corner of the desk. He wasn't surprised to find that four of them were from Jared. The other three were from Danneel, Allie, and, surprisingly, Sandy.
Glancing over his shoulder he met his boyfriend's hazel eyes. While he wasn't a huge fan of candy, it was the thought that counted. Plus he could always feed the kisses to Jared, the guy was beyond addicted to sugar- especially in the form of candy. For the first valentines day in years, Jensen felt something other than annoyance towards the holiday.
The rest of the day moved at practically break neck speed. At lunch Jared dragged him inside to sit at a table with Sandy, Chad, Kristen Bell, and two other students. It wasn't an abnormal occurrence, they ate inside once or twice a week and the rest of the time they either ate in Jared's car, after going off campus for fast food or to raid the refrigerator at Jared's house, or at Jensen's usual spot in the window ledge on the outside of the commons. Jared respected his need to be away from the hustle of the indoor crowd and, while the quarterback might not have completely understood it, went along with Jensen's need to be alone. Although 'alone' for Jensen now included Jared more often than not and that wasn't something that bothered the violist. Occasionally Sandy would even join them, but not often.
There was a table set up on the miniature stage at the base of the staircase that led up to the second level of the commons. It had various valentines day gifts for sale. Single roses, Sweethearts, small packages of chocolates, and tiny teddy bears. At one point during lunch Jensen caught Jared staring at the small display thoughtfully. He doubted it was because of Michael Shanks shelling out money for a box of candy or due to Leighton and Alexis selling them.
Catching Jared's eye, he shook his head, “Don't even think about it.”
“Not even a teddy bear?” Jared quirked a grin at him.
“Dude,” Jensen rolled his eyes, dipping a tater tot into the ketchup that seemed to cover half of Jared's french fries. “I'm not a girl.” He ignored the inevitable pout, turning his attention to Chad who was talking about the party he was hosting this weekend.
*****
After school, Jensen met Jared at his car. He wasn't entirely sure what the other teen had been doing during seventh period, but when he reached the Mazda his boyfriend was leaning against the passenger door, hands in front pocket of his sweatshirt, head tilted back. The quarterback looked over at him when Jensen hopped over the wire fence, almost stumbling when he misjudged and caught his foot on the swinging wire.
The move caused Jared to laugh a bit, unhindered and open, “You alright?”
“Yeah,” Jensen sighed, rolling his shoulders. “'m fine.”
“Good, you should really watch that, I swear you do that almost everyday,” Jared stepped away from the car as Jensen reached his side. “Ready to go?”
“I'm here, aren't I?”
Nodding Jared grinned at him, leaning towards him and tilting his head down till their lips almost met, “Yep!” He darted forward and pressed a kiss to the tip of Jensen's nose.
“Dude!” Jensen pulled back, nose crinkling up under the frame of his glasses as Jared darted away, moving around the car. “How much sugar... did you eat all the kisses? And the rest of it? The candy?” The quarterback had made a pretty good killing in the candy department and Jensen had only seen what he had gotten before lunch.
As they settled into the car, backpacks and viola in the back seat, Jensen watched as Jared put on his 'thinking' face. He probably didn't really have to think about the answer; his boyfriend tended to be a bit theatric when hyper. Jensen was a bit worried about what Jared would be like when drunk.
“I think I have a package of Sweethearts left, maybe a lollipop or two. Possibly a Hershey's kiss,” Jared grinned at him, turning the key in the ignition and starting the car. “I think I ate the rest of them, though.”
Sighing Jensen ran a hand over his face, “I'm only letting you eat enough candy to prevent a crash tonight. No more.”
“Jensen,” Jared moaned, turning on his irresistible puppy dog look.
“No,” He replied, averting his gaze out the window as the car finally pulled out into the street.
The ride to Jared's house wasn't silent forever, about two minutes into it Jared turned the radio onto an oldies station that was playing a mix of old love songs, really, really old love songs. That led to a bit of a fight over the radio till it settled on a rock station. The music was still about love but the songs weren't quite as cheesy.
When they got to the house, Jared insisted on making something to eat and gathering an assortment of snack foods. The plan was to spend an evening watching movies and just being together. They had finished the Die Hard movies weeks ago and had then moved on to the original Star Wars trilogy. Now the plan was to watch Lord of the Rings.
They were waiting for a bag of Orville Redenbacher's Movie Theater Butter popcorn to finish popping when Jared's mom wandered into the kitchen. Jensen wasn't entirely sure what she did all day, but he knew she worked from home.
“Hello boys,” She grinned at them, patting Jensen's shoulder as she walked past. “I'm going to go pick your sister up, apparently she missed her bus.”
“She probably just didn't want to carry those plastic containers around,” Jared snorted, rolling his eyes.
“Either way, I'm going to take the Mazda. You two aren't planning on going anywhere for a while, are you?” Sharon looked between them, a knowing glint in her eye.
“No,” Jared replied and Jensen shook his head. “We're gonna watch Lord of the Rings in my room.”
Pursing her lips slightly, Sharon nodded, pulling on her coat and zipping it halfway up, “Remember the rules and don't make a mess with the popcorn or anything else. I don't want any bugs or rodents deciding your room is a great place to be.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Jared sighed. “I know... hey Mom?”
Sharon paused at the back door, “Yes, honey?”
“Call us if Megan has any of those cupcakes left over, would you?”
Grinning she pointed towards the fridge, “Bottom shelf, back left. One each, I'm guessing you've already had enough sugar to last you a month.”
“He really has,” Jensen spoke up, voice only slightly below it's regular volume. Regular for when he's speaking to Jared or Danneel that is. Sharon smiled at him before disappearing out the door, pulling it shut behind her. The knob twisted slightly right after it closed, Jensen assumed she was making sure it locked.
“Tattle tale,” Jared mock glared as he opened the microwave and carefully removed the steaming bag. There were still a few random pops occurring within the bag till they finally emptied it into a large plastic tupperware container.
Taking the container, Jensen watched as Jared rifled through the fridge for the cupcakes and some sodas. By the time they were heading upstairs, his boyfriend's arms were full of various food items- most of which probably had a high sugar content.
“I'm kind of regretting your valentines day gift. Not the buying one for you, just what I got you,” He stated as they entered Jared's room. It was the second room on the right at the top of the stairs. There was a bathroom next door and Mr. Padalecki's office further down the hall. Megan's room was to the left of the stairs and so was the master bedroom. Jared had given him the 'grand tour' of the house the third time he came over.
“You don't mean that,” Jared glanced at him as he set the food down at the foot of the bed.
“I do. A little, anyway,” After setting the popcorn down on the bed, he moved over to where his backpack was resting against a book case.
“What'd ya get me?”
Shooting a look over his shoulder, Jensen sighed, “What do you think?” A small smile spread across his lips as he pulled a plastic sack from the largest zipper. “I've never, uh, boughten anything... had anyone to get something for. For valentines day, I mean.”
“S'okay,” Jared grinned, moving over to his desk. “Neither have I. And, really, it's just a commercial holiday. I'll love whatever you got me.” He quirked a smile as he opened a drawer and pulled out something. “If anything I hope you like my gift. Not really worried about liking yours.”
They met at the bed, settling side by side against the headboard. Jared had put the Fellowship of the Ring DVD in when they dropped their bags off earlier, so the DVD player was ready to go whenever they were.
“Trade?”
“Yeah,” Jensen handed Jared the bag. It was nothing special, just a plastic sack with the Wal-mart label on the front.
“You really know the way to my heart!” The quarterback was grinning widely as he pulled out several packages of his favorite candy and a small box of assorted chocolates.
“There was really no way I could go wrong,” Jensen tilted his head, examining the wrapped object in his hand. Unlike his Christmas gift, it was actually covered in real wrapping paper, shiny white with little red and pink hearts scattered across the surface. Raising an eyebrow, he met his boyfriend's gaze.
“My Mom and Megan were wrapping some stuff,” Jared shrugged, a slightly embarrassed look on his face.
It didn't take long to unwrap it, and while he wasn't exactly careful the paper did end up in one, albeit crumpled, piece on the floor. It was a CD, or a CD case anyway. The paper cover within the plastic was homemade and looked to be black construction paper with gel pen writing and a few stickers covering it. All and all it was kind of cute.
“You said your foster parents got you a CD player for Christmas, so I made you a mix CD. Mostly some classic rock songs by artists I know you like and a few random instrumentals... I kinda tried to go with a valentine theme,” Jared reached over and turned the CD over in Jensen's grasp. “I hope you like it.”
“I do,” Jensen smiled, nodding. “Thanks, it'll be a great addition to my minuscule collection. Thank you Jared. I love it.” Reading the artists and songs he only recognized a few, but that wasn't an odd thing. While he tended to remember lyrics and melodies, titles and artists tended to allude him. “I'm still not going to let you eat all the candy. Not tonight, anyway.”
They ended up reorganizing their position on the bed so they could lean against the headboard and each other. Jared also made sure the food was within arms reach, settling the various containers on either side of them. By the time the first movie was over it was getting close to dinner time. They actually spent most of it chatting quietly and enjoying the film while snacking, only stealing a few kisses here and there. Just after they started the second movie, Jared's Mom appeared in the doorway. She made her presence known by knocking against the open door.
“Jared, honey?” Sharon waited till she had their attention, or as much of it as she could get. “Your Father and I are going out to eat, apparently he made dinner reservations for us.”
“Awe,” Jared cooed a bit before Jensen nudged him in the side with his elbow. He snagged the remote and pushed pause. On the screen Frodo was frozen with a very odd look on his face.
Sharon just smiled at them, “We're going to leave in a few minutes so you're going to be in charge. There's left over hamburger helper and salad in the fridge or you can heat up a pizza if you want.” Eyeing their diminishing pile of snacks she amended her statement, “If you're hungry. You're sister is microwaving something for herself right now.”
“Alright-”
“I expect that you two will behave and follow the rules while your Father and I are gone. All our rules.”
“Yes Mom,” Rolling his eyes Jared exaggerated his statement. “Jensen and I will behave and I'll make sure Megan doesn't engage in any delinquent behaviors while you're gone.”
“Okay, we'll be back by nine,” She nodded, pausing mid turn. “Enjoy your movie boys.” They didn't even wait for her to finish talking before pushing play again.
A few minutes later they heard a car start outside and drive off. Jared's arm tightened slightly around Jensen, pulling him even closer against his side. Not long after that they heard the pounding of feet on the stairs and down the hall before a door closed.
“Your sister's kind of...”
“Loud?” Jared finished his sentence glancing towards the open door. “Yeah, she's probably in a hurry to get online. She's addicted to MySpace and MSN.”
“Myspace?”
“It's kind of a blog and chat and you can post pictures to it. Almost a personal website but not quite,” Jared slouched down a bit, resting his head on Jensen's shoulder.
“Ah,” Jensen moved his head away slightly, turning to look at his boyfriend. “Do you have one?”
“Yeah,” Chuckling, Jared lifted his head and smiled slightly. “Nothing on it though, just one photo and like fifteen friends. I kind of got bored after the first twenty minutes.”
Their faces were inches apart, close enough that Jensen could feel Jared's breath against his skin. There was a slightly sweet smell to his boyfriend's breath, probably due to all the candy he'd consumed throughout the day. Tongue darting out to wet his lips, he leaned in, closing the distance and pressing his lips against Jared's.
It was far from their first kiss, but Jensen still felt the tingly rush he'd had that very first time when they were sitting in the cold vineyard after the homecoming dance. The kiss was chaste at first, closed mouths, lips brushing and sucking. That didn't last very long before Jared's tongue slid across Jensen's lips; he parted them, a breathy moan escaping only to be swallowed by Jared's mouth.
The television was quickly ignored as lips pressed together, teeth clashed a bit, and tongues intertwined. After a few minutes, maybe ten or fifteen but Jensen wasn't really keeping count, they pulled back to move snacks and drinks to the floor- probably due to Jared's elbow knocking into the popcorn bowl and spilling some butter covered morsels onto the comforter.
The door was still open, but no one was home to bother them. The likelihood that Megan would be venturing out of her room in the next two or three hours was slim to none and even if she needed to use the bathroom there was one right across the hall from her own room. It was extremely unlikely that she would bother coming to this side of the hall at all. Jensen wasn't thinking about that, though. In fact, he really wasn't thinking about anything other than the feel of Jared's mouth, tongue, and hands.
Somewhere along the way their shirts were discarded, Jared's T-shirt and Jensen hoodie and long sleeved tee slipping over their heads and dropping to the floor. It wasn't the first time they'd been shirtless together, but it was a rare occurrence that they had this long to explore and appreciate.
They were laying next to each other on the bed, face to face. Jensen was propped up slightly, using his right elbow. Lifting his left hand, he slid it up Jared's arm to his shoulder and then down to his chest. The quarterback's muscles were more defined than his own, which wasn't odd since Jared actually took weight training and worked out unlike Jensen. He let his hand come to a rest on Jared's chest, just over his heart.
“You have freckles all over,” Jared murmured, sliding his hand up Jensen's side. “Love it.”
Jensen snorted, “ I don't think this is what your Mom meant by behaving.”
“She's gone for another two hours at least,” Leaning in, Jared rested his forehead against Jensen's. Their noses brushed and he leaned in the rest of the way to press their lips together. “Plenty of time to clean up after.”
“Not having sex,” Jensen's voice was muffled by Jared's tongue sliding into his mouth. “No sex sex.”
“Yeah,” Grinning against his mouth, Jared pressed his hand against Jensen's shoulder and slipped a jean clad thigh between Jensen's. “Right, no sex.”
Jensen's arms wound around Jared's body, one tangled into the hair at the base of his boyfriend's neck while the other slid over the bare skin of his back. He could feel the hard line of Jared's cock through his jeans where it pressed against his hip. His own was hard in the tight confines of his jeans and rubbing slightly against Jared's upper thigh.
“Orgasms okay,” Jensen breathed, the hand on Jared's back slipping down till his fingers slid beneath the fabric of Jared's boxers.
“'Mmm,” Jared replied, pressing forward into the kiss and letting his weight settle a bit more onto the violist.
The feel of Jared's body against his was amazing. Jensen's mind had long since lost the ability to think coherently by the time he felt his boyfriend's hand slid against the skin of his stomach and beneath his boxers. There wasn't much room for him to do anything other than wrap his hand around Jensen's length, so after a moment Jared had to pull back to unbutton and slide the zipper down. Jensen did the same to Jared's jeans, sliding his own hand down to wrap around Jared's cock.
It was far from perfect and eventually jeans and boxers ended up in an awkward tangle around their legs as hands fumbled and caressed, moving in a familiar yet entirely new way over each other. Even though there were times where their grip was too loose or too tight, motions halting and slightly awkward, it didn't take long before they both came, breathless, sated, and feeling down right amazing.
They lay there, hands and stomachs covered with the remnants of their release, a bit dripping down onto the comforter. At some point Jensen's eyes had drifted shut, just for a moment, as he regained his bearings and his breath slowed. When he finally opened them again, blinking a couple of times, he found Jared watching him with a small, contented smile on his face, hazel eyes cracked half open. The room was dark and there was an odd blue light sliding over Jared's skin, cast from the television that was still playing The Two Towers.
“Hey,” He murmured, glancing down for a split second to take everything in before meeting Jared's eyes again. The familiar warmth of a blush was spreading across his cheeks again, probably invisible in the dark lighting.
“Hey,” Jared replied, equally as quiet.
“Should we,” Jensen swallowed, tongue slipping out to wet kiss bruised lips. “Should we go clean up?” He watched as Jared leveed himself up on one elbow and looked over the top of his head towards the dresser where Jensen knew there was a clock.
“Hmmm, maybe in a bit?” Jared leaned over and pressed a chaste kiss against his lips before settling back against the bed.
“Yeah, okay.”

Note: Okay, I've never written anything like that before so I hope you all enjoyed it! *hugs* Thank you all for reading and there will be many more time stamps. I'm writing them in chronological order so this one came before some of the ones people asked about. ♥
