Swap Squad was made by three crafty, pen pal, snail mail loving Ljer's who love to send and receive packages. We've wanted a place for organized swaps for a while, and now we finally have it!

How we work:

We hold 5-10 swaps a month in various themed swaps with various price ranges. Every time you sign up for a swap you get a survey someone else filled out and you get to shop for them and send them a package. In the meantime, someone else is shopping for you and you will get a package soon. Then when we all start receiving packages we can post pictures and show off the wonderful packages we got.

We keep the community private to keep out flakers. Anyone is welcome to join but we will not tolerate flakers. We also keep it private in hopes of us really getting to know one another and it's a chance for us to make new friends. Another good reason for a private group is so that not just everyone who stumbles upon this community can view your mailing address and private info.

If you would like to join, please read all the rules and be ready to follow them, fill out the survey below and email it to swap.squad@gmail.com. We will then decide to approve or deny your membership. If your membership is approved you'll be on your way to participating in the swaps!

Rules:

First and foremost, lethalbubblegum , beanovich and nonvenomous are your Mods. Their word is law. LOL. No we're not that crazy, but if one of them asks for something, please comply.

Please only apply if you are over 18. We do have adult themed swaps.

Please also only apply if you have had your lj for more than 2 months and it is not an empty lj. We want people who will stick around.

You MUST friend the community to join it.

Please fill out and abide by the rules in the survey. Please have emailed the survey to us within a week of you joining to be accepted. Otherwise, we will deny your membership.

You must sign up at The Things I want and post a link to the wishlist in your survey to be accepted.

Please use the buttons here for promoting on your profile or another website.

You don't have to participate in every swap, but you must participate in at least 4 swaps a year to stay in the community. We want active members :)

Thank you posts are a must. We need to know when packages have and have not arrived.

Pictures would be lovely, but not a necessity.

Packages over $5 must be sent with Delivery confirmation. Please also keep international custom forms, they have numbers on them that do make them trackable.

All non senders/flakers will be banned. If your package doesn't show up to the receivers (it does happen) you will have a chance to resend them something else. If you do not you will be banned.

Last, but not least. We do follow a feedback/ratings system here to ensure that all participants are trustworthy and do send out packages. Certain more expensive/time consuming/special swaps you will only be allowed to participate in with a certain number of stars.

This is how it works:

All swaps will be worth 3 possible stars and 1 possible heart.

1 star is awarded when you have sent your package on time or before the due date.
1 star is awarded when you stick to the swap theme and rules.
1 star is awarded when you angel a swap (send something to someone who's partner flaked).

And 1 heart when your partner tells us how amazing you are and that you deserve one for going overboard, above and beyond! We will keep track of these points in a post added to the memories section.
