Daniel Roy is a competitive swimmer who represents the United States internationally.
At the 2018 TYR Pro Swim Series stop in Indianapolis, Roy made headlines when he demolished his own former 17-18 National Age Group Record in the 200 breast, blowing away the old mark of 2:10.77 by a full second as he touched in 2:09.73. He not only broke his own record in this race, but also bested IM world champion, Chase Kalisz, in the process.
Roy was ranked #14 on SwimSwam’s Top 20 NCAA Recruit’s of 2018. On November 9, 2017, Roy announced his verbal commitment to swim for Stanford.

Roy finished 12th in the 200 breast (1:52.93) at the NCAA Championships in his debut, earning All-America honors.
The freshman was fourth in the 200 breast (1:53.75) at the Pac-12 Championships, while also placing 11th in the 400 IM (3:48.04).

2017 World Junior Championships (Indianapolis, Indiana)
In Indianapolis, Roy swam the 200 breast, touching for gold ahead of his USA teammate, Reece Whitley, in a wire-to-wire battle. Roy finished in a time of 2:10.77, besting Whitley by .05 and breaking the previous 17-18 National Age Group record in the event.
2019 World University Games (Napoli, Italy)
Roy finished third in the 200 breast (2:09.63) at the World University Games, earning his 1st senior international medal.
