2018 Pan Pacific Championships

In her home country, Kobori swam all 3 distance freestyle events, finishing 6th in the 400 (4:09.04), 9th in the 800 (8:31.89), and 8th in the 1500 (16:14.22).

2018 Asian Games

In Jakarta, Kobori won her first international medals, collecting double bronze in the 800 (8:30.65) and 1500 (16:18.31). She also earned silver by swimming on the prelims of the 2nd place 4×200 free relay.
