_8:37 pm_[jonathon_fisk] | Hello everyone. I just joined this community. I would rather not give out my name because I fear some not-so-nice people who are related to me will find my journal and start harassing me again, but you can call me "D," if you wish. I'm 20 and live right on the edge of the second largest city in Texas.I'm sure I've been experiences coincidences my whole life, but I really started taking note of them around the time I was in 6th grade (1996). A lot of times these events will happen when act on my feelings to visit somewhere, usually somewhere I've never been or am not too familiar with.I cannot immediately think of a good example right now, but I wanted to join so that I know I have a place to post to when stuff happens. _6:57 pm_[eastexpert] | Hi chaps, I'm Max and I'm living in the South East of UK.Always have been fascinated by the way causality works and the ways to track and (reasonably) predict events before they even happen.Where I was born, I lived in house number 4, 7th storey, apartment 47. These 4 and 7 have played the role later. When I changed these numbers, my fate also turned corners. When I moved to another city, apartment number there, amazingly, was 46. Lots of my friends happened to live in numbers 46 or 47. (Having moved to another country and no more 47's or 46's -- and my life has totally changed.)Many of events in my life had perfect timing. There was a whole chain of events that led me where I am now, and if you take out just one minor link of that chain -- I wouldn't be where I am and wouldn't be doing what I love to do... (enough to say, intracompany transfer to the UK would never happen one month early (would go to States) or one month later (the door would snap shut before my nose). Good jobs just opened by the moment my previous ones ceased to satisfy me. With me being now 36, there is now a whole host of various synchronous happenings in my life. Glad I found this community.(PS My journal is written in Russian so my Russian friends can understand it... sorry!) (5 Comments |Comment on this) |

_6:26 pm_[moonwindstarsky] | Hi, I'm a new member and I haven't any major experiences to date, so I no stories here. I am interested in how it works and people who are in the 'flow' of continuous synchronicities. From what I know, if you focus on something, signs of it or it will show up. (Comment on this) |

_5:10 pm_[purljamber] | new member Hi! My name is Amber, and I'm new to the community. I'm interested in strange coincedences, but I don't experience them often myself. However, I do have a good one, finally:My lease is up, and I have been wishy-washy about whether or not I should resign it or move. I recently looked at an apartment that I liked, but I still wasn't sure.My family also just signed a lease on a new house, and I went over to look at it for the first time the other day. The house number is 1820.The number of my would-be apartment? Also 1820.I think that might be a good sign. :) Current Mood: hmmm (3 Comments |Comment on this) |

_3:20 am_[sarahsaturn] | 15. Awhile ago I started taking a spanish class, and the word for 15 in spanish is cince. in japanese, the word for venus is kinsei (it's pronounced the same as cince). 1+5=6. I have a book on birthdays, and it says 6 is the number of venus. >.> Current Mood: weird (2 Comments |Comment on this) |

_12:14 am_[jezebelee] | Intro: My name is Sasha and I live in Chicago. I'm optimistic by nature and I attribute that to my "good fortune." They are more often than not small things, but they make my life easier.Synchronicities amuse me greatly, but I refuse to let them mean too much. I might get paranoid. (2 Comments |Comment on this) |

_7:29 pm_[copperpoint] | I saw a former student of mine tonight, and when he shouted out "Jonah!" a girl who just happened to be walking down the street recognized me as someone she'd gone to camp with. And then it turned out she knew my friends (who I was with) sister from gradeschool. (Comment on this) |

_1:34 am_[sirius_lee] | Allright, here's a simple but neat syncronisity for the dayI'll start off by saying I've unfortunately been insomniaic of late and had been up for about 36 hours when this occured: I was at my work (fry cook), getting ready to close down after a long and unexpected day ("i wasn't even supposed to BE here today!" ;p) listening to the standard seventies rock station and cleaning out some pans. Somewhere out of the blue I noticed that suddenly the rock had stopped, tho the station had not changed, and now there was talk radio coming out of the stereo. Before I could get my bearings on what they were talking about, the phone rang. It was for the other guy there, so I handed it over and got back to my stuff, still listening to the show. It turns out it was a dog owner's call-in advice show, and they were talking about how to stop pets wetting floors and such. Suddenly, in a semi-panic, my coworker asks if he can leave, expaining that HIS dog is giving birth and he needs to get home to help make sure it goes over smoothly. I think "wow, neat" and tell him ok, then get back to closing down (now alone for the last two hours) after awhile I sit down and start to work on some writing I'm doing (ended up filling this giant spool of paper with a linear story) all about this "fictional band" when my attention once agains goes to the station. It's been talk all this time, and as I own no dogs I sort of let it fade into the background, but apparently they switched on me AGAIN and now are talking about one of my passions, old low budget horror films. First nifty bit is they mention roger corman's bucket of blood, which i just picked up for a song and a dance while out xmas shopping, but then someone mentions some OTHER film (forget the name) where the actor they have on was playing a guitarist in (and I quote) "a fictional band in the film" Made my night, i know it was slight, but it filled me with delight. There ya go, one for the records of syncronisity on syncronisity on syncronisity. It always seems to happen more when you are one way or the other slightly out of phase with the usual patterns of yr existence, tho not sure why. ta! _10:44 am_[tfapricot] | Hola, bonjour, guten tag, and etc. I tend to encounter synchronity, not as often right now as I did about a year ago, but still. And I know that at least once have I "helped" cause a synchronicity that someone else encountered. What happens a lot with me - and has happened since I was a little kid - is that I think of songs or certain episodes of shows, and then the song comes on the radio a couple minutes later, or I see that episode the next day. Yay for media. Have a nice November 11th, dearies. Current Mood: sore (Comment on this) |

_11:36 pm_[99catsaway] | A Little Prick Last weekend, I went to get my nose pierced with some of my friends. On our walk toward the piercing parlor, my friends and I started talking about Alcatraz. I told them that my dad had an "Alcatraz Swim Team" shirt. Julia said that her dad had an "Alcatraz Triathlon" shirt. We were talking about whether we had been to Alcatraz to visit. This was seconds before we walked into the parlor. We walked in, and what were the employees talking about? Alcatraz.I took it as a sign that in the divine order of things, I was supposed to get my nose pierced. :-D Current Mood: silly (Comment on this) |

_12:50 am_[99catsaway] | Acorns for Peace Hi, my name is Rose, and I absolutely LOVE synchronicity. Sylvia Browne says it's nature's way of showing us that we're on the right path, which I think is a great idea. I'll share some of my greatest synchronistic experiences with y'all:( Read more...Collapse ) Current Mood: content (Comment on this) |

_4:23 pm_[myglowstick] | Synchronous? I was online researching the truth behind cellular phones blowing up gas stations. My friend sent me an instant message on AIM saying, "I just bought some new cologne called, Candies for Men." About five minutes later I heard someone on TV say, "Whew! That's pretty powerful cologne, stay away from the open flames." A few minutes later I got up to change the channel and I stopped on a movie that happened to show a gas station blowing up. After the explosive scene it showed a woman being questioned by a cop, "... I don't know what happened. I was buying my husband some cologne and the last thing I remember was seeing that man talking on his cell phone..." (2 Comments |Comment on this) |

_6:56 am_[dominoep] | Had a fairly long conversation with someone last night on AIM, and we both sent a link to a place the person had visited, and I wanted to visit... We didn't mention the places before sending the links and it occured within a few seconds of the other, and it was to the same resort hotel in Canada... Now I don't see this as very meaningful... But it seemed too specific to be just a coincidence... (Comment on this) |

_12:34 am_[myglowstick] | Coincidence? My phone rang once and stopped. Twice and stopped. Once again, and nothing after that. It instantly reminded me of the "secret ring" I had with a guy I knew in high school who I haven't seen or heard from in 6 years. I happened to look out the window a few minutes later to see his last name printed in big red letters on the side of a mobile dog grooming van and just moments after that "our song" started playing on the radio. _9:59 am_[perfect_timing] | I've never been this happy about being wrong... Kurt and the rest of Team Honduras returned home last Wednesday without much incident. They'd had a delay in Miami coming back home to Chicago, but that was partially due to weather. The trip as a whole was a huge success, no one got hurt in any way, and no one passed out this year!! Woo-Hoo!!!! The past two years (including the year I went) someone passed out due to heat exhaustion/dehydration. But it didn't happen this year so that makes me really happy :)Kurt's already teased me about having been so worried for seemingly no reason... believe me, I'd rather have been wrong on this than right... and I've never been this happy to be wrong! :)I thought I'd let you all know that everything went well after all... thank you so much for your thoughts :)Blessed Be! _9:23 pm_[perfect_timing] | Kurt left yesterday... Kurt really did go to Honduras... he, Matt, and the rest of the 20-something numbered group left yesterday morning...I still have a bad feeling about this trip... but all I can do now is sit, wait, and pray they all come home safe and sound and alive...But they'll be home in almost exactly one week... they'll be touching down hopefully around this time next Wednesday... so the countdown has begun already... and I'll keep you all posted as much as I can...
