Join us in April 1, 2024 for an afternoon celebrating the David Rumsey Map Center's 8th Anniversary! At 4:30pm inside the Traitel Building's Hauck Auditorium, a special screening of _A Stranger Quest will highlight the event, with opening remarks by David Rumsey and the film's award winning director Andrea Gatopoulos. After the film we'll convene for food, refreshments, and discussions with the film's director. The film is a documentary about David Rumsey's 30-year endeavor to build one of the world's largest map collections, and saw its debut at the 2023 Torino Film Festival last November. We're very excited to be the first to show the film on the West Coast! View the film's trailer here.
