In this study, performance simulation model was developed and validated for a federal university in Malaysia. The effect of network parameters such as the processing time on throughput and utilization of the servers and switches on the network was investigated through simulations. In conclusion, results from the simulation model suggest some bottleneck nodes on the network.

The theory further proposes that facilitating conditions and behavioural intention predicts use behavior in the acceptance of information technology. Ever since its inception, the theory has been assessed using different applications, and it has become a dè factor model of measuring user acceptance. Nonetheless, in terms of statistical significant magnitude and direction, reports on the model are diverse. Therefore, in this study, based on 37 selected empirical studies, a meta-analysis was conducted in order to harmonize the empirical evidence.

A total of 200 current users of a GSM provider participated in this study. Gap analysis was used to determine the perceived importance and satisfaction on each dimension of service quality, and regression analysis was conducted to test the relationship between service quality and levels of customer satisfaction. Results indicated that reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy significantly positively influenced customer attitudes in terms of satisfaction and loyalty. In addition, t-test results showed that there was a significant gap between the perceived satisfaction and importance (P-I) on all of the service quality dimensions.

In Phase I of the study, 169 human resource managers from service companies were surveyed. They were asked to indicate (1) the importance of skills, competencies and characteristics for the service workforce, and (2) the ease of recruiting those with such work skills and talents. In Phase II, focus group sessions and interviews were conducted with 37 Malaysian managers, yielding a qualitative summary of industry needs and talent pool shortages. Findings indicated a gap between industry needs and the availability of important competencies within the pool of prospective workers. Individuals with competencies in communication, information technology and customer relationship management, and those with high motivation and career commitment were most sought by service industry employers.

However, leadership skills and other factors do affect team performance. This study investigated the factors that influence the effective performance of research clusters team leaders and team members in the Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP). A survey was conducted and a hundred and seventy six (176) faculty staffs and members of different research cluster in UTP participated in the study. Structural equation modelling (SEM) technique was employed to analyze the data. The outcomes of the study shows that team leaders Human Skills and Team self Evaluation significantly influence the effective performance of the team. Also, team self evaluation have a direct effect on technical skills. Implication for practise and future works was also discussed.
