The Beginning of Transformation (original) (raw)
I couldn't sleep. I got up and decided to do that reading I've been putting off about Chris, since I seem to be awake. It was very interesting indeed. I did the usual celtic cross spread, asking specifically about what this new relationship means to me.
Understand that for now I feel very leery. It's almost too good to be true, as I mentioned previously. But this reading has cleared up quite a few things for me.
COVER CARD: Adjustment- This is normally the major arcana card of Justice. The spirit of Ma'at, the Egyptian goddess of justice balances on the tip of a sword. Balance and inner harmony require a great deal of concentration. Strive to maintain a universal balance between Alpha and Omega principles. One should be aware of daily events that cause a lack of balance and work towards bringing balance back into play when one feels off-center.
CROSSING CARD: Prince of Wands. This card is a reflection of the Emperor. The crossing card can be a card of good or ill influence. The prince of wands is the sign of new beginnings. This is the sign of creative intuition that catapults forward movement. The chariot upon which he rides is afire and is pulled by the Lion as it runs forward from the darkness into the light. In his hand is the sceptre of the Phoenix, another symbol of rebirths and new starts.
CONSCIOUS THOUGHTS: Ace of Wands. This card is another card of new beginnings and is the strongest creativity card in the deck second to the Sun (major arcana). As blockages are removed, a powerful new ability of creativity is born. As one surrenders to the creative fire of intuition, any obstacles in the way will be burned to ashes, allowing one to give complete sway to the new energy brought forward by the Ace of Wands.
UNCONSCIOUS THOUGHTS: The High Priestess (major arcana). The High Priestess is the symbol of intuition and intuitive thought. Your intuitions are strong and one must be prepared to listen fully to what intuition says. Trust your unconscious thoughts, they are not leading you astray.
PAST INFLUENCES: The Emperor. His legs are crossed to form the number 4. This card is reflected in the Prince of Wands and is a card highly in tune with new beginnings. As the Prince of Wands strives forward, the Emperor represents also the new beginning that is coming into play. The Emperor is also a fire symbol. He is the power of the masculine and uses his energy towards masterful rulership of the self and all his energies and resources. When used for transformation, the power of the Emperor brings about spiritual change for the better. When used for selfish means, the power brings about stagnancy and fear of change.
FUTURE INFLUENCES: 4 of Wands. Completion. One is standing on the precipice of a new and balanced beginning. In order to make this change complete, one must reconcile the old and close the circle to make way for the new.
THE SELF: The Magus (major arcana). The Magus is represented by the God Mercury. This is a card of masterful communication in all areas, written to verbal. This card is an expression of the self's ability to communicate effectively and should be seen as an indication for the self to find a place from which one's thoughts may be communicated effectively and clearly.
OUTER INFLUENCES REACHING IN: The Sun. This card is the complement to the Ace of Wands and is the strongest card of creativity in the tarot deck. This represents the symbol of new love and fulfillment. It is also a card that heralds the beginning of a positive period in life.
HOPES AND FEARS: Ace of Disks. This is the card of the material. It is the representative of beginnings of a time of harmony and balance between spiritual and material. One should strive towards becoming inwardly rich to forge this balance between spiritual and material.
THE OUTCOME: The Chariot. The Chariot rider sits in a meditative position on a chariot that has not yet begun. This card, too, is the herald of a new journey that is at its beginning. The rider meditates to discover all possible routes and obstacles, knowing that once the chariot is moving, it will not be stopped. It is a card that warns the self to consider the path with the understanding that this new journey is indeed a good one and has great potential towards positive spiritual growth. Meditate on the journey ahead and then begin without delay.
So the reading for me is a strong indication that this is a good phase of life that is coming into play. I don't need to fear, but rather trust my intuition and realize that the transformation that began when I broke away from the old influences is a good one. Though the past cannot be returned (one of the cards specifically said that, don't remember which one), it is possible to reconcile the old with the new for myself and bring about completion. I think I need to write that letter and then keep moving forward.
