We were extremely busy today.

We left home at 9 am because we had to photograph the baptisms at church. We didn't get out of there until 12:30 at which time we had to drive the forty minutes to my inlaws where we had lunch after which we had to go to my grandma's for a movie with my family to celebrate my b-day. I'm exhausted! Had a blast at grandma's house. Mom made apple cobbler for me. MMMMmm!!! They all made sure stuff was milk free :)

( emotional crap I need to get off my chestCollapse )

Yaaaaaay! Internet is back! Which means...I'm back!

My jewelry show was last night and it went really well. I was surprised at how much I sold. I sold about $250 worth of stuff. Squeak! I sat there making glass beads and there was a huge hoard of people watching me and I explained the whole process. I sold a lot of loose beads that I've made and a lot of neclaces and earrings. It was a lot of fun to see people enjoying my jewelry. I never dreamed of making that much on it. My dad and mom came as well as my grandparents and a few of my friends. I was relieved when my dad offered to stay and help me while my mom and Stephen went to do the sports photography. I trained my mom on uploading and rotating images for that night's occasion as I couldn't be there until the third quarter. Dad was a big help he took the money while I played with my torch. Mwah ha ha! FIRE! Making jewelry is so relaxing for me, it really is an addiction that I don't intend on giving up anytime soon. Plus, stringing is something I can do without it hurting my shoulder. Sadly, making glass beads really hurts my shoulder :( I've had shoulder issues since I can remember. Any extended repeated movement of my right arm will make it seize up with pain.) I couldn't sleep last night because of the pain but it was worth it to be able to show people how glass beads were made.

Other things that seem to bother my shoulder are stocking chocolate at work, drawing on an easel, decorating cookies, vacuuming, washing dishes, etc. Pain killers don't do a lot, physical therapy didn't help too much, heating pads work though. Maybe I have an internal twin beneath my shoulder blade. *shudders*

We didn't make as much money at the football game as we had hoped, but that's probably because people are getting used to us being there so it shouldn't be a problem as we are going to be moving to different schools soon.

Stephen and I discussed the direction we want Studio 211's sports photography to go. We discussed it over breakfast and McD's and had some productive ideas.

Tonight my sister is throwing a murder mystery party for my mom's birthday. I have to dress up like a woman in mourning and Stephen has to dress all artsy with a beret and a wine glass. Amber had me bring appetizers so I made a fruit salad and bought a cheese ball. I also got some mozzarella cheese sticks to throw in the oven. That'd better be good enough as I'm also bringing the wine and bread.

Anywho, I missed LJ terribly and it feels good to be online again.

I'm still sick. I sound like a 45 year-old smoking male when I talk. I don't think it's strep throat since I'm not fevered or woozy but it really sucks. On a sweeter note, tonight we're celebrating the new year at the Green's house. We've had our New Year's with them for the past two years and always have a good time. Last year, I had to work until 11:30 which sucked b/c I missed most of the party. I was stoked to find I have the night off. I think it's silly that the shop is open tonight. No one wanted to work tonight so Jared was stuck working it which I'm glad b/c he'll see how slow businiess is going to be and hopefully decided to be closed next year.He must not be much of a ball-dropper. I guess I'm not either but when there's a party going on and I'm invited I hate to be unavailable. I guess my personality is not designed for second shift. Ugh! I promised myself I wouldn't talk about work in this entry and I am. Must change subject...So tonight should be cool, they said to bring a game so we're bringing Cranium. That game rocks. I want to get the expansion pack, that'd be cool. The best part is sculpturades where you get to play with that awesome Cranium clay. Well, I gotta go check on my jeans in the dryer. Later.

I actually got enough sleep last night! Yay sleep! This weekend was a good time. We counted over seventy kids who trick-or-treated at our house. We also had an impromptu party. It was cool to have people over to our house. We don't usually have company. I'm not sure why, we just don't. I'll have to write "have more parties" on my to-do list.

Today is my birthday! Yay! I am sooo sleepy this morning. I could barely keep my eyelids propped open on the way to school. I took a mini-nap in the parking lot and one in my chair when I got to school. I'm not sure why I am so sleepy this morning. I think I'll take a nap so I can be fun for my happy margarita time tonight;)
