Welcome to the crack pairing that I've begun to take more seriously than I should! At some point this was merely a joke due to Ruth Wilson and Tom Hiddleston both being in a show together (as a couple), but eventually it started making All The Sense to me, and then this happened.
Reasons this ship makes a weird amount of sense to me is the fact that it would sort of be anti-Movieverse-Jane/Thor. Alice is an astrophysicist who lacks empathy (in her canon she gets the hero of the series to question his Highly Empathetic views of right and wrong. Moral ambiguity and murders ensue.), and has negative feelings about her parents pushing her too hard (and killed them). At first I just wondered how Alice and Loki would interact in a conversation concerning their families. Then it clicked in my head that if he really did believe he was doing everything to win Odin‘s approval, and they talked about their families for any amount of time, she might end up convincing him Odin was Wrong All Along, he’d never have won his approval , and wasn‘t worth the attempt anyway. And he’d end up hating them all like she did her family. Which would also line up closer to the comic canon.
I sort of wish this worked as well for his pov, since I think she’d be more likely to make him more evil than he would to corrupt her in any way. Also, at least with Thor!Loki, I find her way more terrifying of character.
