At the train station, passengers can take benefit of a variety of platform-based amenities whose satisfaction is prioritized. Rail services play a critical role in carrying people and products from point of origin to point of destination. People's mobility has accelerated in recent years, with the ultimate goal of earning a living. Numerous forms of transportation are available to promote accessible modes of transportation to people in diverse parts of the world, including road, rail, air, and sea. Rail transport has developed into one of the most important modes of transport in recent decades in Iran, which is experiencing an increase in demand for rail services. The objective of this research is to identify and rank the elements that influence people's willingness to travel by train. The statistical population is comprised of all passengers who travel by rail on a daily basis, which amounts to approximately 75,000 persons. The statistical sample size was determined using the Morgan table, which yielded 382 passengers. Four factors can be examined when determining whether to increase people's desires: economy, station conditions, journey time, and train conditions, with economy and train conditions being the most essential. The study's conclusions can assist commercial and public railway businesses in providing the required infrastructure and circumstances to boost passenger appeal.

Therefore, it is necessary to select the most appropriate leachate treatment methods considering its complex properties. Among several treatment processes available for this purpose, the biological treatment process is notably effective at removing pollutants and also relatively affordable to operate. Its application to leachate treatment has received much attention in recent years. This study summarizes the leachate characteristics and the methods of leachate treatment with a focus on biological approaches, either aerobic or anaerobic. In addition, this paper concisely discusses the effectiveness and the factors influencing the performance of each treatment technology in case of organics, nutrients, and other pollutants removal. The findings of this paper are expected to provide a deeper insight into the future research and development of leachate treatment, especially the biological treatments concerning the circular economy.

In this study, we introduced microalgae Chlorella pyrenoidosa (C. pyrenoidosa) into four different wastewater samples, including Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME), piggery, domestic, and mixed-kitchen wastes. The C. pyrenoidosa growth efficacy of POME and subsequent drop in nutrients were demonstrated. It was clearly seen that POME had the highest Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) values at 700 mg L −1. The Total Nitrogen (TN) ratio for the piggery sample was the highest at 590 mg L −1. Productivity was evaluated in terms of chlorophyll content, growth rate, biomass, and lipid content. POME and domestic wastes had the first and second highest chlorophyll a content of 3 mg L −1 and 2.5 mg L −1 , respectively. The optimum growth rate for C. pyrenoidosa was observed when using POME as a substrate. This study confirmed that Cell Dry Weight (CDW) in POME was the highest with 500 mg L −1 after 20 days cultivation of C. pyrenoidosa, when compared to other substrates. Maximum lipid content was recorded for POME, domestic sample, piggery, and mixed-kitchen waste, at 182, 148, 0.99, and 117 mg L −1 , respectively. The above results revealed that POME was the best substrate choice for alga

The wastewater can serve as an economical nutrient source or substrate that can support the cultivation of microalgae. This study aimed to identify the local species of microalgae potentially existing in the industrial wastewater of palm oil mill effluent (POME). POME was selected as the key source of waste due to its higher potential in producing lipids from microalgae as biofuel substrate. A novel green microalgal strain was isolated from POME of Kahang- Johor west palm oil mill in Malaysia and was identified as Chlamydomonas sp. and subsequently named UTM 98 with Catalogue No. of KR349061. Therefore, it is important to develop an environmentally friendly and economic method to treat palm oil mill effluent (POME). The main aim of this study was to investigate the potential of Lemna minor (L. minor) and Chlamydomonas incerta (C. incerta) with catalog number (KR349061) for the bioremediation of POME in order to achieve higher water quality standard and further produce organic fertilizer. In this study, three different experiments were conducted by using L. minor, followed by addition of C. incerta, and further combination of L. minor and C. incerta. The concentration of nitrate (NO 3 −), ammoniacal nitrogen (NH 3-N), phosphate (PO 4-P), Electrical Conductivity (EC) and salinity in produced fertilizer were measured, and then they were compared with two current commercial fertilizers. Growth factors such as growth rates, average number of leaf and height of root of L. minor of plants were also determined. The results showed that the microalgae and macrophytes were capable of removing only 4.4% of chemical organic demand (COD) whereas the respective maximum removal rates for NO 3 − , NH 3-N, and PO 4-P were 12.5%, 11.3%, and 70.47%. Also, the average differences of NO 3 − , NH 3-N, and PO 4-P concentrations in produced fertilizer in comparison with two current commercial fertilizers were 95, 39.5, and 62.5 mg/g, respectively. The results of this study revealed that only L. minor was converted into fertilizer. This study elaborated that both L. minor and C. incerta are able to remove a part of organic pollutants and nutrients from POME.

Among which, microalgae, having wide range of environmental adaptability, represents a diverse group of microorganisms; hence, its application in biotechnology is among the scholars’ interest. Microalgae have the ability to store lipids and preserve the nutrients presented in the wastewater, which help in wastewater treatments. Besides, the algal biofuel production gained research interest in recent years. Among few important factors for the microalgal growth, proper presence of light and sufficient nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorus are essential. Developing algae production would help to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions by capturing CO2, and producing an alternative option for fossil fuels which could be valuable and sustainable. Hence, with growing interest and several analyses, this review discusses the key points in developing microalgal biotechnology toward sustainable development.

Universities are not only responsible for teaching and R&D activities but they are expected to commercialize the research result and also establish spin-off companies. This study attempts to illustrate the crucial factors that assist the commercialization process of university research result. This paper reveals that the success of university commercialization is influenced by several factors including researchers’ perception, time, entrepreneurial team, networking, technology stage, funding, market research and TTO.

This paper mainly focuses to identify the status and characteristics of university-industry (UI) collaborations at a research university. Moreover a quantitative research method was adopted in this study. The sample was selected from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). A total of 42 UTM centers participated in this survey. The findings demonstrate the type of existing UI collaborations and mobility at UTM. Furthermore, the result indicated the characteristics of university partners.
