Due to the recent rash of porn spambots, We Moderators have decided to switch to moderated membership to this community until further notice.
Journals that have been around for a while, and/or have entries and friends and all that other nice non-bot stuff will be approved as soon as possible. Otherwise we may contact you for more information before approving you.
Sorry for this, but given the recent postings by spambots, we feel this is the way to go for now.
According to Amazon.ca, Season 3 will be released on August 10, 2010. :)
Creator speaks on ‘The Border’s cancellation and its cliffhanger
In three short years, The Border managed what few Canadian series can nowadays. It collected notable actors, boasted an incredible number of visible minorities and developed a loyal fan base until the bitter end.
The award-winning show about immigration and customs agents seemed doomed from the opening moments of its third season, thanks to a CBC scheduling decision that landed the series in a competitive Thursday night timeslot.
And when the decision to end the series finally did come down, the public broadcaster remained characteristically mum, allowing fans to find out from an American publication with an “inside source” that the show was kaput as of its final Jan. 14 episode.
But while the ending may have left anguished fans in the lurch, co-creator Peter Raymont maintains he’s proud of the many accomplishments the series helmed during its run. He called TV Guide Canada to give his take.

What's this? The Border is in danger? According to Dead Things ON Sticks, a blog written by Canadian screenwriter David McGrath, The Border may not be around for much longer! *meep*
Remember, if those ratings don't come up you may not have Kessler & Co to kick around anymore, and I for one honestly think that would be a big damn shame.
We can't let that happen! Keep watching people! Don't let our show go away! *wibble*

I don't know if anyone posted it here before, but I thought I'd say something quickly before the signups close in a few hours. (BETTER HURRY!!)
Yuletide is an annual small fandom fic exchange, and is probably the largest fic exchange of its kind. The moderators of the exchange work hard to make sure only small fandoms qualify and it's very well run. :) Last year was my first time participating and I had a great time! And really, it's huge! There are all sorts of small fandoms to choose from!
And guess what! That's right, The Border qualified again this year! I requested and offered to write The Border, so I'm hoping some writers from this community will come and do the same as well.
