| Piercing the Veil – As we shed our everyday skins and enter the world of myth, we invite you to join us at Piercing the Veil, the Sacred Mark Sanctuary's yearly Samhain experience. This year, we will be exploring the story of Grandmother Spider, the Weaver of Dreams. How can we feed her what holds us back, and learn to weave the web of our greatest desires and imaginings?The ritual will be predicated by a clear safety procedure talk and piercing demonstration (much shorter than in years past!). Participants may choose their method of participation, including receiving small hypodermic ("play") piercings, energy pull hooks, or other non-piercing forms of connection. Our rituals are not for spectators, so please come prepared to engage on some level.We ask ritual participants to meditate on what they wish to leave behind as the old year dies, and what they would like to spin into reality as they move forward in their lives. | This month at PlayShop we'll be examining the concept of compression, both as a force in our lives as well as a force in our bdsm play.
