Steam and Cinders: New Steampunk LARP For any interested, there is a New England/Boston Area roleplaying-intensive steampunk LARP starting up this coming spring called "Steam and Cinders". This will be open to the public, but I am hoping my friends, family, Realms community members, my few fans, and my models, will all come to support me and meet each other.

Appetizers will be provided, and you are encouraged to eat and have drinks. I will be there a bit early if anyone wants to start off with a late lunch, and stay a bit late if anyone wants to do dinner. (I will be hanging the photos in the morning, and around for most of the day.)

X-Posted from my blog... On Saturday, I posted a bit about a foosball table like no other...A Good vs Evil foosball table, and it got me to thinking...

If you could pick PCs for the Good side, and NPC's for the Bad to create our own Realms foosball table, who'd you pick?

3/4" thinwall anyone? I have almost a metric ton of 3/4" thinwall pipe. It used to be a cloth-walled dungeon crawl frame, but at some point all the pipe fittings went somewhere other than the pipe, and never returned. Most of the pieces are somewhere between 3 and 4 feet, I never did measure them.

I'm not just bragging about it, I'm trying to get rid of it, they're in my way and I doubt I will ever make a weapon that short, let alone 100 or so. I know one of you wants it, make me an offer and come get it.

Feast of Min The eventholders (myself, gryfinnincubus, and dread_iratepir8) of Feast of Min are still looking for more volunteers to be staff and NPC for Feast of Min. We're bringing back all the great old traditions, but one we'd like to go without is a dearth of NCPs. Anyone out there interested in getting in to the party and feast for free, in exchange for helping out? Drop us a line.

Feast of Min For those of you who haven't heard, dread_iratepir8, gryfinnincubus, and I will be reviving Feast of Min this year, after I had to cancel last year. We've got a great core of three EHs, but what we need now is a great staff. This is me officially begging for help throwing a huge event weekend. :)

wanted: prayers and well wishes My kitty is very very sick. she's at tufts animal hospital on a ventilator with phnumonia. she really needs all the prayer she can get.
it's free and easy to do, whichever religion or spirituality you profess to.

She's my baby, I have no human children, my cats are my kids.

You don't need to respond with sympathy emails, just wish her your best.

I'm already dealing with a divorce and other life difficulties, having her get this sick is a real blow to me.

Children Friendly People Wanted I know I sent this to the out of character list as well. I just want to make sure everyone sees it. I don't want someone to say later that they would have gone had they known about it. So here it goes...

I know this is short notice, but...

Thursday March 30 2006 at 8:45AM my son's Kindergarten class would love a demonstration of the clothes that we wear for Realms. The class is doing a fairy tale chapter this week and have been talking about knights, princes, and princesses. Now we all have a bunch of clothes that the kids would love to see. We will be with a group of kids that are 5 & 6 years old. I don't think we will demo any boff fighting. That depends on how the teachers feel about it.

I am willing to have people meet me at my house or they can meet at the school. I should be at the school around 8:30AM.

It's a Series F. We have a skein winder also. and a LOT of yarn/string to boot!

No offense to the EH or staff involved but.... Obviously the cost of sites are rising and are becoming more scare every year. Not including costs like food, and fancy props. And I also understand how much of a pain it can be to get pre-regs. But still...$35 at the door for a feast?? For tacos??

ahhhhhh pipe foam Hi, I live in Worcester MA, I really need some pipe foam and don't know where to get it. I need it by next week so I can make some weapons for a new character for Folkstone Questing. If anyone knows where I may find said pipe foam before next week that would be oh so awesome.
