Furries, next time you see someone call their fursona a herm(aphrodite) please fucking correct them. If enough people do it, intersex people might actually be able to participate in the fandom without seeing goddamn slurs everywhere. It’s exhausting. It contributes to people believing fetishistic misinformation about real intersex people.
Tell people to use bigenital, salmacian, or dualsex, instead. If they’re looking for a more scientific and less fiction-centric term, suggest cosexed, gonosimulite, or monoecious.
This is not difficult. Do better. Stop saying hermaphrodite.
Approximately 50% of marriages end in divorce and only around 8% of trans people detransition (with 62% of detransitioners subsequently transitioning again) so I think we should stop infantilizing trans people and hammering them over and over with “What if you regret this?” comments and start turning that scrutiny towards people who are engaged as they are statistically much more likely to regret their decision and suffer for it.

(I want to state that I love divorce. I just think it’s weird the way transitioning is treated in comparison to other major life decisions. Also, on a more genuine note, less peer pressure to go through with a wedding and more chances to back out before the last exit would probably save a lot of people a lot of trouble.)
I mean that sooooo seriously though. There are people who are like “Me and my partner have been living together and sharing finances for 5 years. We’re thinking of getting married.” It’s already not working, you’re already living that life and you hate each other, idk why you think putting a ring on it is going to fix anything.
