accomplished Well, I finally did it. It took me since I started the community but I've completed the Speed Racer mood theme I was working on. (You would not believe how hard it is to find the characters relaxing in the show. ;)) Anyways, 132 different images and a few extras on the Speed Racer Photobucket I'm working on, which I'll upload in a minute. If you want to see examples you can either look there or on this journal. And if you have questions or problems just ask me. This is my first time, so it's likely that I've made a mistake.And I apologize if you see this ad in a few communities you're in. I'm cross-posting it a few times.

scared So this fall there's supposed to be new Speed Racer shorts in Japan that were done by Tatsuo Yoshida's daughter. I don't think I mentioned it yet. Maybe I did.But this version is completely different from any other version they've done. Why? Because it's not about Speed. At all. It's about a blond girl. Named Lip. I'm not sure what her relation is to Speed, if there's any at all. Because I've yet to find a dubbed version. if anybody does, please let me know. And the animation style is incredibly different too. It almost looks American. And as many people mentioned on the Youtube video, it almost looks like Wacky Racers. If not for the 'M' in the car, I'd have assumed somebody slapped 'Speed Racer' on the title.I doubt they'll release it over here. My husband, who never liked the series to begin with, slept through it but the boys were in awe! bouncy Hi guys! My name is Kay and I'm a huge Speed Racer fan! I'd know about it for a while, but only recently started actually watching the show (hooray for the internet, hehe). I had a dream a few weeks ago where I was driving the Mach 5 (but it was actually an old muscle car painted as the Mach 5) and it was crazy. I woke up with a strong desire to see the movie.The movie was excellent (as most of you know, hehe)! I was expecting it to be horrible, but was very happily surprised. I wish they had advertised the plot in all the commercials... Because that was what really sold it for me... Not only was it awesome and colorful and fun, but the plot was spectacular. :) Hopefully it'll do well in DVD sales and make up for the box office flop -_-I was reading some posts in this community and some people were talking about getting the manga set and how expensive it was... I found it on Amazon for $26! And free shipping! :) I ordered mine the other day and I can't wait for it to come in! I can only watch the movie so many times, haha.Also, did anyone else love the song they played during the credits for the movie? I'm totally in love with the combo of the Japanese theme, the English theme, voice clips, and catchy hiphop stylings, hehe. *drives her fiance crazy by playing it constantly* :P~Kay | | |
