Diplomatic row after Jacqui Smith bans from Britain Dutch MP who planned to show anti-Islam film at House of Lords

Is the UK wrong to ban Geert Wilders from entering, or should we let him in like we let rapists and other extremists in? Is it a case of you can be Islamist and extreme, but can't be extreme anti-Islamist?

Bankers' bonus 'is their human right' - The Sun, 2009 02 10

Referenced from this post.
I think someone should remind the bankers that the only human rights everyone has, and can claim, are the right to continue breathing, and the right to be able to enjoy one's life without getting mugged or otherwise attacked. The only necessities we all need are food in our bellies, clean water and sanitation, sturdy clothing for modesty and to protect against the weather and a bit of shelter, possibly a place to raise children in and give them a good memory.

Everything else - all the rampant greed and capitalism - is just surplusage and excrecence; and in a time of crisis, massive inequality and intransigent social immobility where the poorest, who already live in grinding austerity, have to cut back to the very quick, the extravagance of a handful of people who have got more than two pennies to rub together cannot go unexamined, or indeed unchallenged.

I could summarise my response to the bankers' whingeing in two short words, but both words are unsuitable for a family audience.

It takes 11 years to find true love

THE average woman goes on 39 dates with 15 fellas over 11 years trying to find Mr Right, a survey claims.

She will spend £3,630 in total, as each date costs an average of £61.47 plus £31.62 on an outfit, make-up and their hair.

Of the 4,000 Brits quizzed by onepoll.com, a lucky 16 per cent said their first love was their ideal man.

A onepoll spokesman said: "True love's a tricky business."

So how much do you spend on finding true love? Have you found it yet, or are you still looking?

Is TV too hard on the working class?

Is seeing the underbelly of society representing the working classes unfair, or does TV portray an accurate picture of today's working class? Should we be seeing more 'normal' families on TV, or would that just bore the socks off us all?

Outrage over 'slaughter' of thousands of grey squirrels in plan to save red from brink of extinction

What're your views on this? Should we be bludgeoning these illegal immigrants to death, or should we leave them to eat our British nuts, and wipe out our very own red squirrels?
