According to Q, the Top Ten Reasons You Should Consider Attending
TC in DC:
- It's a Rocky Horror convention! (Duh!)
- Our special guest, Bob Simon, is friggin' awesome.
- Karaoke!!
- A chance to do "The Time Warp" on the National Mall in front of the Capitol Building.
- There's a damned good chance people may be less than clothed.
- Neil will remain… fully clothed.
- The event is Ron Maxwell Approved!™
- The SSOB award will be given. (More details to follow.)
- It will be run completely by robots! (Unless we can't find any.)
- Punch and Pie.

QUESTION/POLL FOR EVERYONE COMING TO THE CELLULOID JAM I'd like some feedback from everyone who's coming to the con.....
Would you rather see Rocky Horror shown on a scratchy, worn "grindhouse" kinda print or would you rather see a print with as few scratches and little wear as possible?
You can be sure that there won't be any skips or missing footage--I promise you that you'll see and perform the complete uncut film--but would you rather see a grainy retro print or a crisp, clean print?
(Oh yeah, whichever print we decide to screen, it's-a gonna be in MONO.)

Collectors trading post One of the items on the schedule is "collectors' swap meet & merchandise trading ". This appears to be taking place between 9pm and 10pm on Friday night.
What collectors will be attending the convention? What are you looking for? What will you be bringing to trade?
My collection is pretty big and currently is somewhat organized. If I have an idea of what someone might want I might be able to help them out.

Tickets will still be available for $65 until April 20th!

the convention.

THE CELLULOID JAM 4/6 news: casting, ticket prices, hotel, etc. Some news updates for THE CELLULOID JAM cult movie convention:
WE ARE NO LONGER TAKING CASTING REQUESTS!
The deadline for all casting requests was April 1st.
We are currently working on casting all three shows and the casting will be announced someone on or around April 15th.
We are still taking entries for pre-shows up until April 21st.
Tickets are still available for $65 each until April 15th.
AFTER APRIL 15TH TICKETS WILL BE $75 EACH
If you've yet to book your room at the hotel, there are still plenty of rooms available. The hotel contact info is available on our website at www.thecelluloidjam.com
When you book your room, please be sure to mention that you are with THE CELLULOID JAM so you will get the discounted rate of $82 per night.

THE CELLULOID JAM 2009 convention...buy your tickets now! If you haven't heard, THE CELLULOID JAM, the next Rocky Horror/Shock
Treatment fan/cult movie convention will be held May 15-16, 2009 at
The Drawbridge Inn convention center & hotel in the greater Cincinnati
area.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Shock Treatment & Phantom Of The
Paradise will all be shown on 16mm with live accompanying floorshow
cast performances.
We are currently taking casting requests for all three shows. In
order to apply to perform you must purchase a ticket. All registered
attendees are eligible for performing in all three shows.
***If you would like to perform at the convention, our deadline for
casting requests is APRIL 1***
Our special guests for the weekend will be Transylvanians Perry Bedden
& Kimi Wong O'Brien who will be at the convention all weekend to meet
& greet with fans.
Tickets are $65 each and are now on sale at our website:

Celluloid Jam Convention Events
Movie-Themed Costume/Dance Party: Dress up as your favorite movie character on our Friday night party. Costumes do NOT have to be Rocky Horror-related. Dress up as ANY movie-related character! There will be a DJ & cashbar at the party.
I think we can all breathe a sigh of relief over the fact that I've decided not to attend as Doctor Manhattan.
