What to Submit
Fannish and metafannish discussion: The Ozian Times accepts bulletins for discussions revolving around Tin Man canon, fanon or fandom, in personal journals or Tin Man-specific communities. We will not link to discussions in locked posts, either in personal journals or in communities.
Challenges, contests and stuff-athons: The Ozian Times accepts bulletins for long-term (two weeks or more) content generating events. We will post one bulletin prior to the event, another to announce launching of the events, up to two reminders/updates, and one bulletin to announce the conclusion. Event co-ordinators are responsible for providing The Ozian Times with all relevant dates and information, and must request each individual announcement separately.
New communities, forums and websites: The Ozian Times accepts advertisements for new Tin Man related Livejournal communities, public forums and public websites. We will not link to locked Livejournal communities, personal archive communities, private forums or personal websites.
Catalogues, fic resources, archives and rec lists: The Ozian Times accepts adveertisements for public Tin Man fanfiction and art archives, curated rec lists and Tin Man or Oz related resources such as maps and timelines. We do not accept advertisements for private archives, short, uncurated rec lists or general fandom resources unrelated to Tin Man or Oz.
RPGs: The Ozian Times accepts bulletins for new Tin Man RPGs or Tin Man RPGs currently accepting or recruiting new members. We will also post bulletins for multifandom RPGs canvassing specifically for Tin Man members. We will post no more than one bulletin per month per RPG. Each individual announcement must be requested separately by the RPG moderators.
RL Tin Man news: The Ozian Times accepts notices of Tin Man activity at upcoming Science fiction, fantasy, comic book, and general fandom conventions, as well as reports from participants after the fact. We will also post general Tin Man news relevant outside of fandom circles (nominations for awards, etc).
What Not to Submit
The Ozian Times is not calaloguing individual fics, art, videos or icon posts at this time.
How to Submit
News items may be submitted by email to theoziantimes@gmail.com, in a private message to one of The Ozian Times' mods, or in the submissions post. When submitting a news item, please put the word "submission" in your subject line. Please inlude the names of all journals, communities or websites relevant to the news item, and all relevant links in your submission. When submitting news by email, please include your LJ handle if it is not the same as your email address. Your identity will not be include in the news post, but we like to keep track of our news and where it comes from.
Posting access is restricted to editors, but all posts are public and commenting is open to all LJ users.
We reserve the right to reject for publication any submission that does not meet with the community guidelines or conform to Livejournal's Terms of Service.
