Theis is a general forum for Pressure Cookery

Right, so I have this pressure cooker now that I got as a present from dear, dear friends. NOW WHAT???? The stupid recipe book that came with it contains all of about 10 recipes, 7 of which sound sick-making. My grandmother and my mother used these contraptions for decades and were able to perform miracles in them. What are we supposed to do with these things?

I'd love to hear from cooks who've been using these things for years, homemakers, domestic gods and godessess alike. HELP US! The Un-pressure cooker schooled. We Need Your expertise!

I will post recipes as I find them or create them, I hope you do the same. Thanks for the ideas everyone!
