So....usually my bf doesn't normally do anything all that special...actualy, he hardly does. His reasoning behind it is that if he does nice stuff too much, I'll come to expect it *rolls eyes*. Anyway, when he DOES do special stuff, he sometimes goes above and beyond...like last week.

I was having a hard day at work, mostly because on of my best friends called me while I was there and cried to me on the phone about something that her bf had done. I felt really bad because I was so busy at work (didn't even get a break!) and I couldn't talk to her. So at 11 pm when I finished work I gave her a call. When I pulled in the driveway to my apt building, Ian was standing there with Murphy (our chihuahua) taking him for a pee. He knew who I was on the phone with and why, so there was no need to tell him. He offered to take my purse while we walked in. When I got upstairs and went to the bedroom to lay down while I talked to Jess, I noticed the bed was made, all the laundry from the floor was cleaned up and in the hamper, and the night tables had been dusted and all the clutter removed from them (my retainer which I thought was lost was even sitting on a tissue on my side of the bed on the table).

Ian sat next to me for most of my conversation w/Jess....not sure why but I'm sure it was mostly because he just wanted to see me. After about 20 min, he got up, mouthed "10 minutes" and held up 10 fingers, then mouthed "'til the Office"...I had forgot that it was the Office night! He then said "popcorn?" Then took off and made popcorn and cut up some cheese slices for me. A few minutes later I let Jess go and went to the bathroom....which I was shocked to find it almost spotless! Even the scale was clean! (it's usually covered with dust). The more I looked around the more I was shocked! Both the medicine cabinet, the cabinet above the toilet AND the closet in the bathroom were all clean and reoganized!!!! NUTS! The floor was clean, the toilet was clean, and the sink was clean! Amazed!

I walked out of the living room and that was cleaned up. The chair that I've been working on re-upholstering for a while now was put together neatly, the coffee table was clean and dusted, and ontop of the table were potted gerber daisys...just for me! He then told me to take a look at the kitchen...clean! Then the main storage closet....clean....er....it's a tough job, so just being somewhat better than it was is a huge improvement!

I was just blown away by how much he had done. Usually I'm the one who spends the whole day on my day off doing all this work, and he had done it all for me! All I had left to do the next day (on my day off) was the animals and the laundry....so I could actually relax...it was awesome :)
