1. Keep it friendly, please. Drama can get you banned.

If you have an issue with another member, bring it to the mods -- don't get into a back-and-forth 'comment war.' The final decision about banning rests with the moderators -- and we really hate being pushed to ban members!

2. Please use the lj-cut tag!

Images larger than 200 pixels by 200 pixels MUST go behind a lj-cut, no exceptions.

If you wish to share a sample outside the cut, please make something that's 200 x 200 or smaller.

When sharing icons, please don't put more than four sample icons outside the cut.

Links that aren't text-oriented (text that has a link attached) should be placed behind an lj-cut.

3. Linking to your own journal is fine, but please clearly state you're doing so.

If you're sharing graphics like icons, headers, banners, etc. -- either in the community or at your own journal -- these images must be specific to "The Tudors." Yes, we like other shows and movies, too, but they're entirely OT (off topic) in this community.

Don't know HOW to create the lj-cut tag? Here's the code:

Want to gack (grab) this code? It's easy!

Right-click INSIDE the above box -- pick 'Select All.'

Right-click again and pick 'Copy.'

Go to your own document or blog -- right-click and pick 'Paste.'

Bottom line? It's better to use the lj-cut tag than not -- or in other words, you can't possibly use it too much.

4. Avoid 'spoilers'!

What's a spoiler (or spoiling)?

It simply means that you've told details about an episode of the series, potentially spoiling it for others.

If you think you might be sharing materials that could be considered spoilers, PLEASE put these behind an lj-cut tag. We don't have much tolerance for spoiling and consider this a banning offense -- please don't make us ban you! (See rule #1.)

5. Use an appropriate subject line, PLEASE.

The subject line helps others (and you) be able to locate any given entry with greater ease. Try to use something that describes the content of your post.

Some examples might be:

Subject: Icons to Share

Subject: Photos of Jonathan Rhys Meyers

We all forget the subject line from time to time, so no worries! This certainly isn't a banning offense. But we might comment and suggest a subject line if you forget to include it -- so consider yourself warned about this possibility in advance.

6. Entries here are LOCKED (filtered) by default -- please keep them that way!

This community is set to automatically make all entries 'friends only' -- which means that people have to be members to view them. Changing this is a banning offense -- please don't go there. (See rule #1.)

7. Please give credit where credit is due.

If you're sharing icons that use a 'base' created by another LJ member, be sure to say so. To LINK to another LiveJournal user, use this code:

NOTE: Replace 'username' with the actual username of the LJ member.

Want to gack (grab) this code? It's easy!

Right-click INSIDE the above box -- pick 'Select All.'

Right-click again and pick 'Copy.'

Go to your own document or blog -- right-click and pick 'Paste.'

Don't know who to credit for something? Simply say so -- and offer to edit to include credit if someone shares the info with you. It's all good.

If you find images, info, etc. via another website, be sure to share the LINK (url, address) of said website.

When sharing a link, we prefer you use a text-oriented link. The code would look like this:

NOTE: Change the actual link to the URL you want to share. You can use whatever text you want where the text appears.

Want to gack (grab) this code? It's easy!

Right-click INSIDE the above box -- pick 'Select All.'

Right-click again and pick 'Copy.'

Go to your own document or blog -- right-click and pick 'Paste.'

7. Please don't HOT LINK images from other sources.

If you want to share photos/images, then you need to host them somewhere and link to that location. Hot-linking is stealing, so it's a banning offense.
