the-videodame asked:

hope youre ready for more Re-Destro asks now that the ask box is back open LMAO i adore your writing so much đź’•

could i get headcanons/a senario for Re-Destro who hires (eventual) S/O into Deternat after moving to Japan for the position, but they have a young daughter with them? shes behaved and all, just too new to Japan for a babysitter, and they slowly warm up to Re-Dad-stro and the MLA?

(personally i think skeptic acts annoyed but secretly loves to play like, hide n seek with her around the office 🥺)

the-videodame asked:

since youre on a re-destro kick, could I request some domestic headcanons for him and his partner? daily life, holidays, work, perhaps even marriage? đź‘€

-You know it don’t you? You can see it in his eyes that his resolve is faltering. He knows you know it, and that’s why you bring out all the stops. You poke out that lip with a quiver, eyes widening in desperation as you give a small sniffle or two. His eyes dart down to the puppy you’re presenting with both hands in front of him. It’s fur dingy from the filth of the street, it’s little tail tucked away between it’s tiny legs. He’s malnourished for certain, but that doesn’t particularly mean you should just bring it in. There are places that specialize in that for Pete sake! However, he can’t do it…he can’t say no to you when you beg him like this. You know it’s a dirty trick giving him that look, but it works nonetheless and now you were happily skipping home alongside him with the puppy tucked at your side in your warm coat.

-He wasn’t really a pet type of person. Sure he had a turtle or fish or two growing up but never something like a dog or cat. He didn’t really know the appeal behind the creatures to begin with. But watching you in the bathroom that night as you sung soft lullabies while bathing the filth from it’s coat really made Rikiya’s heart flutter. He decided perhaps he’d made the right decision after all when he allowed you to bring the puppy into your shared home.

-He was wrong…

-That damned dog was taking up all of your attention. Not only that but you needed to potty train it, walk it, feed it, and everything in between. The creature also had a knack for chewing important things, leaving white fur everywhere, and sneaking food off the low coffee table. He couldn’t even cuddle with you properly due to the pup. And on top of this, he was sure the dog didn’t like him as it growled and nipped at him when he got too near:

-Re Destro would come home to various piddle puddles in his home before you made it back. That meant he was the one that had to clean up all the dog pee. Not to mention the poop as well! Because when you moved in and told him to do away with all the maids in the house, it made it all the more difficult for him to adjust to this moment. It started to feel like he was the maid in his own home. He couldn’t have much time with you while you were taking care of the little guy. You even signed the puppy up for training and socializing classes. Every time he tried to complain about it, you told him that the classes would help the puppy stop being so aggressive toward him.

-The thing was shedding like crazy and left fur on basically everything black, which normally wouldn’t be a problem…if he hadn’t owned a MULTITUDE of black furniture and expensive black suits as well! On top of that, he paid to have a very expensive slice of steak for dinner at a restaurant on the way home. It was his favorite place to eat and as a treat he only took himself there once every month. When Rikiya returned with the cut of meat, he placed it on the low coffee table in the living room and went to the kitchen to fetch a glass of wine. When he returned, the meat was gone! His eyes darted toward the corner of the room where the puppy was scarfing it all down. He checked his watch to realize the restaurant was closed for the night and his stress marks quickly spread about his face, creating a mask around his eyes.

-At night when he wanted to hold you close, it was damn near impossible these days. You insisted on sleeping with the puppy in the bed and that Re Destro needed to make some space so that he didn’t accidentally roll over in the bed and crush the pup. He couldn’t even get near you during the day either! That damn dog would growl and nip any time he tried to be near you. He was convinced it was all on purpose at that the dog was trying to steal his place. You only laughed at the idea and rolled your eyes. “Jealous of the dog???” He groaned while you laughed at him. “Rikiya, it’s okay! I promise you I’m still all yours. After the training is done then he’ll definitely want to be around you more. Just give the little baby some time to learn.” You said before turning all your attention back to the puppy. He scoffed and spoke quietly under his breath when he left the room while you were coddling the thing.

-”I sure hope the classes work for it’s sake.” He grumbled as he sunk into the couch cushions with a grimace.

Hmmm? His head craned over toward your direction when you quickly passed through the hall and to the front door. He watched you curiously as you quickly slipped on your shoes and grabbed your keys. “My love, where are you going?” He asked, making you pause for only a moment. “Hmm? Oh to go help Trumpet on the campaign trail!” And just like that you were out the door without even a second look. You didn’t even stop to tell him goodbye or that you loved him. Not even a small little peck on the cheek. He was starting to get a little bummed out with it all. Here lately it had been Trumpet this and Hanabata that. At first it was fine as he had thought to himself it was important you were close to the others in the MLA, but now it was becoming…dare he say it…annoying. He hadn’t even noticed he was pouting and grunting to himself just now until he looked up and noticed it in the reflection of the living room mirror.

The past week and a half you’ve been helping Trumpet with his campaign. You were going to that damned office day and night. You helped with the flyers, commercials, buttons, yard signs, organization, phone calls, events, speeches, booths, you name it!!! The last straw was when some random gossip reporter saw you at the rally one day and released a story about how you were Hanabata’s new love interest. Of course Re Destro had that article removed with Skeptic’s help in a heartbeat. Even so, it still bothered him. Before he knew it you two were heading to lunches together regularly and going over meetings together. To be honest, it was more than annoying now that he thought about it. It was purely pissing him off. Who did Hanabata think he was??? He thinks he can just act all smooth and suave and sweep you off your perfect feet and steal you away from him?! Rikiya had to calm himself down when he realized he was grinding his teeth, clenching his book too tightly, and the stress marks on his head were trailing downward. He finally decided tonight would be the night he would talk to you about it. Usually he would ignore it considering that he didn’t want to upset you but it was difficult more lately than usual to keep his emotions down. Eventually you’d find out anyway since his stress marks are more like tattle-tales than anything else.

~~~~~
Later that night you came home much later than usual. He quickly woke up from his extended nap on the plush couch and looked over at you. “Woo, you scared me for a second there! I didn’t notice you were on the couch still at this hour.” You chuckled as you slipped you shoes off. “Shouldn’t you be laying down by now? You’ve got work tomorrow and you shouldn’t go in tired yknow.” He ignored your words and closed the book he’d fallen asleep reading before placing it on the coffee table. “Actually, I want to talk to you if you have a minute.” He stared at you seriously and suddenly there was shift of growing tension in the air weighing down around you. You were used to seeing him be serious but never really when it came to matters concerning you (unless it was him forcing you to take care of yourself, but that’s a different story). You carefully made your way to the chair facing the couch and watched as he twiddled his fingers for a bit before looking up at you. “Can you stay home with me for the next 3 days?”
…
“3 days? Aren’t you going to work tomorrow?” You tilted your head in confusion.
“I’m the CEO. I can take 3 MONTHS off of work and no one can say a thing about it.” You both laughed lightly for a moment.
“Okay, but I’ve probably got to go to the office at some point during those days and help Tru-”
“No.” He groaned at your words. “No I don’t want you to. You’ve been helping him a bit too much lately don’t you think? You don’t work for him, it’s all volunteer work anyway. There are multiple people eager enough to help him, so you don’t need to any longer.” You tried to hide your laugh when you noticed this grown man whom you loved pouting so much right now. You knew right from then what this talk was about but you decided to play it up for a moment while still trying to reassure him. “That’s because there’s still so much that needs to be done even though he’s in the lead as of right now. We’re nearing the middle time for the election coming up and I know how important it is to make sure Trumpet moves on with his position considering it helps the Liberation Army greatly.” He simply scoffed lightly and leaned back into the couch cushions, still pouting. “Yes, well I appreciate that but it won’t be necessary considering all the help he gets. Anyhow, it would appear as though you two go out to dinner and lunch more than you work together.” He tried to look everywhere but you while you were still trying not to laugh. “We’re friends and that’s what friends do. You don’t say anything when I go out to lunches with Skeptic, Geten, or Curious.” He groaned again and you noticed the stress marks moving ever so slightly. You finally giggled and decided to stop playing around with him since he wouldn’t admit it.
“You’re jealous of Hanabata aren’t you.” You smirked at him when he quickly looked at you. His expression was flat as if you annoyed him but the blush on his cheeks betrayed him. “Absolutely not. That’s preposterous.”
“Haha! If you’re jealous of him then just admit it! I promise I won’t tease you too much!”
“I’m not jealous of Trumpet…I just think you spend all your time with him these days and I don’t get to see you anymore.”
“You work and I’m at home all day by myself, silly. Going to help with the campaign is all I’ve got lately.” He had to admit mentally that you were right. Lately he’d been working a bit more as well.
“Yes, but even on my off days you are there instead of here. You leave early and come home late. It’s almost as though you’re tired of me…” He put his head into his hands and grumbled as he looked down at the ground. Your smile fell for a bit and you moved to sit next to him on the couch. “Awww, is that how you’ve felt lately? I had no idea you were feeling like that Rikiya. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to make you feel like I was putting you on the back burner for another man. I love you and nothing or no one could ever change that.” You leaned to gently kiss his cheek. He slowly looked at you and sighed before pulling you into a tight embrace. “I’m so very relieved to hear you say that. My feeling remain the same. I don’t want you to feel confined to the house every day but I also don’t want you out there helping Trumpet every day either.” You nodded at his words and wrapped your arms around his neck. “Okay then I’ll cut you a deal then. How about I only help Trumpet about 2 or 3 days a week only during the hours you’re at work and NEVER on your off days when we spend time together. Deal?” You asked him with a sweet smile. “Deal” He returned with a gentle kiss on your forehead. Without a warning you leaned up and started a line of butterfly kisses along his neck, stopping just short of his pulse point and nibbling there. He gave a quiet confused gasp as you worked your way back up his neck to lick the shell of his ear before whispering to him. “I’m sorry I’ve made you jealous Rikiya. Maybe you should take me to the room and remind me of who I belong to?” When you pulled back and gave him those eyes that you know he couldn’t resist, he didn’t waste a second at lifting you up and quickly carrying you to the bedroom. The next 3 days off from work were rather raunchy to say the least, but they were also so very romantic and gentle when the in-between moments came. Although he wasn’t feeling very jealous of his friend and counterpart, he still littered your neck in various hickies just so Trumpet could see them and be reminded you were taken 100%.
That’s it. That’s the last straw. You groaned again at the meal in front of you before blowing out the candle and wrapping everything up to put away. This was becoming a regular thing between the two of you and you didn’t like it one little bit. It’s been once a week you two agreed to have a date night between the two of you. Every time for the past month he’s been staying over at his office and working. Every time he’s come home far too late and fallen asleep doing whatever you two were supposed to be doing. He doesn’t make it through the first 10 minutes of the movie for movie night, he doesn’t come home on time for the romantic dinners, he’s too tired to go on evening walks. You try not to approach it directly considering the fact you can see the stress marks climbing along his face when you do. It’s not like he’s upset at you when you talk to him about it. You just don’t want to stress him out because you love him and how hard he works to support you two. However, there is only so much one person can take before they crack and this was your point. So instead of directly approaching the issue, (and maybe having one of your very rare arguments in the relationship) you took the petty route for the first time ever.
When he came home and called out to you before slipping his shoes and jacket off, you remained silent as you washed the dishes in the sink. He heard the water running so he knew you were home. That’s why it was rather confusing to him that you didn’t reply and you didn’t even bother looking up at him when he rounded the corner. He shrugged it off like maybe the water was too loud and you didn’t hear by chance. He knew something was wrong when he went to hug you from behind and you stiffened up before slowly looking over your shoulder at him and giving him the coldest glare he’d ever experienced…at least from you. He slowly backed away and just stared at your back for a minute as you finished up the dishes, washed your hands, and quickly went into the bathroom. Perhaps you weren’t feeling so well today? He was beginning to get worried. He eventually worked up the nerve to go to the bathroom door and gently knock. “My love, are you alright in there?” He was met with no reply except for he shower water starting up. He knocked again and waited. Finally you opened the door and glared at him again before slamming it shut. He heard it lock shortly afterwards. “That’s odd…” He pondered to himself. You two never locked the bathroom door when either of you showered or took a bath. Only when you went to the toilet was when it would be locked. Everything finally clicked into place when he looked at the half melted candle on the table and the food covered in plastic wrap. “Oh…” He frowned at his own actions lately when he remembered the extra hours he had pulled. He had been so absorbed in his work lately that he was neglecting the most important person to him. He sighed and knocked once more on the bathroom door. “Love, I’m so very sorry I came home late. Please let us discuss this like two adults?” The shower water turned off and shortly after that you emerged from the bathroom covered in steam with a plush towel wrapped around yourself. You gave him another glare and went straight to the bedroom. He frowned knowing it would be a very quiet night for him, but he didn’t know it would be so lonely too. No cuddles, not a drop of canoodling or shall he even think of it…sex. Nothing, not even a goodnight hug or kiss. The next morning you didn’t tell him to have a good day at work or to be safe. You didn’t bug him to come to his office with him. You didn’t give him his morning kiss like always. You didn’t even make him a full breakfast. No eggs and bacon with toast and coffee. You simply left him a half sandwich with NO condiments on it and a small cup of water.
The entire day was terrible for him. He sulked on the car ride to work, and sulked on the elevator up to his office floor. He was greeted by his Liberation comrades and he simply sighed and flashed their hand symbol back as he sunk into his chair. Trumpet grimaced and turned to the others at the table. “Is grand leader okay? Is he not feeling well?” He whispered. “Hmmm, he doesn’t appear to be stressed currently as his quirk isn’t in action.” Skeptic stopped typing on his keyboard to answer. “Yes, well it’s more like sadness if you ask me. Or a type of discomfort honestly. He’s probably sick.” Geten added before Curious laughed quietly. “You’re all very dense today which is surprising coming from you. Can’t you tell when a couple is fighting with each other?” The others paused and slowly looked at Re Destro as he was distracted and staring sadly at the clouds passing by the window. “An argument? About what do you think?” Skeptic asked, not looking away from his work. “Who knows, who cares. It’s not about the argument, it’s about the apology.” Curious said nonchalantly. Trumpet slowly stood up and cleared his throat before turning to Re Destro. “Sir? A moment if you will?” Re Destro grunted, not looking away from the window. “We’re thinking of working on the first anniversary of the book and I was wondering for an event if I could use the old edition as giveaways for my campaign.” Trumpet waited for a long time knowing the answer SHOULD be a no. However Re Destro surprised him by mumbling “why not…” before sighing once again. Trumpet sat down with a rather shocked expression. “He’s uhh…he’s really affected by this huh?”
“Well duh, of course he is. Hanabata, when you fall for someone and they get under your skin someday you’ll understand. Come on, let’s let him be.” She stood up first with the other’s following. “Yes well, it’s a good idea anyway. I’ve got some repairs to handle at Feel Good and it looks like we’re just not having a Liberation meeting today.” Skeptic spoke as he closed his laptop. “Guess I’ll go train then” said Geten. “Yeah and I need to gather some more things for my campaign to go well. I’m running for a higher position this year and can’t afford to fail.” Trumpet was the first to leave, unable to bear seeing his grand and mighty leader reduced to shambles over something so strange. Curious was the only one who stayed behind and let everyone else walk out. She locked the office door and Re Destro’s eyes followed her form, wondering what she was up to now. He sighed (for maybe the millionth time today) as she sat on a chair in front of his desk and smiled at him. “Chitose, what…”
“Shhhhh! Don’t talk just listen for a second. I’m assuming you and Y/N had an argument last night?”
“…not exactly.”
“Oh? I was wrong then? Alright then. Y/N is upset about something or sick? Either way, she/he/they made you sleep on the couch OR is giving you the deadliest treatment…a cold shoulder.”
“Cold shoulder?”
“The silent treatment.” Chitose smirked at him and he frowned. “Yes. I’m getting this silent treatment for the very first time in my entire life. I’ve never dealt with this before. I think I would prefer the argument instead. Honestly I deserve it. Here lately I suppose I’ve been thoroughly wrapped up in business with Detnerat and my relationship suffered from it. This is the first time I’ve ever really been in a relationship. I’m used to coming back to an empty house after work and doing whatever. I sometimes have difficulties remembering things aren’t as lonely anymore. Now, thanks to my behavior, I may have to go back to that old life…”
“Nonsense!” Curious interrupted him. She smiled softly and shook her head. “Everything you’ve just told me, go home and tell it to Y/N. Really go apologize.” He nodded and let her words sink in. Even on the ride home he was thinking of those words. He was not an overly confident man by default. He wasn’t above apologizing if it meant being able to see you, hold you, and listen to you. “Pull over here for a moment. I need to retrieve something from the inside.”
~~~~

You’ve had possibly the worst day in a very long time. Last night was easier to ignore him considering you were under the influence of anger but the next morning was too tough. You wanted so badly to just apologize and take to your morning routine but you were still a little annoyed at him so you kept up the act. You made a shit breakfast for him and didn’t bother to see him out on his way to work. The hardest part was watching his sad expression as he left the house. Near the middle of the day it was increasingly difficult for you to not send him a check in text. You kept thinking of something bad happening to him and the both of you ending on bad terms. It was why you can’t stay mad at him for much longer. You made your resolve by the time the door unlocked. You quickly jumped up and made your way to the front entryway. However, when the door opened you were greeted first by a face full of heart shaped balloons and a somewhat comically oversized red rose bouquet. “Uhhhh…” You watched as he struggled to carry the other bags inside as well. Then for the next 20 minutes (while you consumed half your weight in the snacks he got you) you listened to his apology on the couch side by side. It was so heartfelt and authentic that he ended up shedding a tear or two while saying it. Finally he went quiet and stared at you with desperate eyes. “I’m glad you apologized first.” You laughed and he let out a long sigh of relief before squeezing you into a very tight hug. “Oh thank God! I never want to go so many hours without hearing you ever in my life. I think I would rather give up my company, organization, and the clothes off my back than to experience it again.” You laughed at his dramatics. “I’m sorry I did it to you. It was immature of me. I should’ve just talked it over with you like a regular adult instead of ignoring you. I was worried sick about you all day long.” You embraced each other for a long time until an idea popped into your head. You pulled back and smiled at him mischievously. He tilted his head in confusion. “Y/N?”

“Well I was thinking about how you got me all of this lovely stuff as an apology and I hadn’t gotten you anything. But don’t worry about that…” You grabbed his tie and kept hold on it as you stood up, forcing him slowly to stand with you. “I’ve got a special apology for you, Rikiya~”
