It was a nice weekend overall. Giles had Friday off, so he and I met my parents for a late lunch and a bit of shopping. The food was good (we went to Lone Star Steakhouse), but the service was beyond lousy. As we were leaving the parking lot of the restaurant several police cars drove up next door and five police officers jumped out with their guns drawn. Needless to say, we got out of there as quickly as possible. Giles is having a couple of problems at school according to the transitional aide and of course she tells me as the long weekend is starting and I can't call about it until Tuesday. Apparently some of the kids have figured out just how to push Giles' buttons on the playground and are doing it every recess now. So not what I wanted to hear. Apparently the principal and his teacher were going to discuss it Thursday afternoon and I will be calling to discuss it tomorrow you can be sure. Due to this though, we've had several pretty major melt-downs this weekend. I was hoping he and I could go out and do something fun today to try to balance things out a bit, but we have ten new inches of snow on the ground this morning and it's still coming down hard. It's supposed to go until 6pm and I'm so not amused. We managed to get our shopping done at Costco this weekend and pay all the bills (therefore emptying out the bank account pretty much completely). The only other thing we accomplished was fifteen episodes of Season Two Supernatural. It's like we start watching and can't stop! The remaining two disks should be in for next weekend's viewing pleasure. It really has become an obsession. Although I'm still having problems understanding most people's Sam obsession. Don't get me wrong, he's incredibly cute! But why am I not seeing my FL going nuts over Dean? Seriously, Jensen Ackles is so much sexier and the protective older brother thing mixed with the bad boy? Seriously push almost every button I have. | |

If the teacher/principal/aide/whoever knows that kids on the playground are pushing Giles' buttons--why are those children still allowed to be (unsupervised) around him? That...is not cool. DUDE. Speaking as a Sam-girl... :P Actually, there are an awful lot of Jensen/Dean fans; at least there are on my list. (Though lots of Sam-girls, too, because, y'know. Common interests *g*)You ready for fic links yet? *eg*I thought the same thing about the kids on the playground and believe me I will be mentioning it tomorrow. The aide seems to me to be lacking inside the classroom so I'm not surprised she's not on the playground with him (not happy, but not surprised), but the principal and teacher should be doing something.I really do like Sam and he is absolutely adorable, but I just don't get liking him over Dean. It's just personal preference, just like those who are deluded enough not to realize Chris was the hottest member of NSYNC. *EG*It's not enough that you got me into the show, now you want to addict me to the fanfic?Yeah, I think I'm ready for the links now. From: kare2008-01-22 01:02 am (UTC) (Link) oh, I'm most definitely a Dean girl....I just keep it (mostly) to myself. =D |
