Guntur: The latest edition of prestigious Balotsav, an annual International Telugu Children’s cultural festival will be held at
Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology
(VVIT) near here. With organisers of the big-ticket children event, which is being conducted at Kothagudem of Telangana state, deciding to take first break after its launch in 1991, VVIT came forward to take the load and take the programme ahead.
The event will be held between November, 12-14. Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU) and AP Non-Resident Indians Society (APNRTS) will act as co-promoters of the event.
Speaking to reporters at ANU campus on Monday, vice chancellor Dr A Rajendra Prasad said that stated that the all-round development of kids depends on three important factors, the memory power, creativity and environment, which are not available to them in a balanced manner. He opined that childrens fests will provide most suitable platforms to showcase their talents.
APNRTS president Dr Ravi Vemuru said that sharing of experiences and feelings is the Utsav and this Balotsav will definitely explore a beautiful social perspective in every child in their beautiful untainted hearts. He emphasized that students hailed from different regions, cultures and dictions when meet at this kind of Balotsav will enrich their creativity, sharpness and competitive spirit.
Dr.Vasireddy Ramesh Babu, convenor of Kothagudem Balotsav, said that they have given a break this year for the

which they have been conducting for the past 25 years due to some intrinsic reasons. He, however, expressed happiness for VVIT taking up the major project as a responsibility to provide the platform for the children to explore their talents and cherish.
Dr.Ramesh said that Balotsav would be conducted in 42 competitions in 20 events for the children from nursery to 10th class and said that they will provide their complete cooperation. Educationist Nannapaneni MangaDevi urged all the parents to encourage their children to participate in this with fervour.
VVIT chairman V Vidya Sagar said that they are very much determined to conduct this Balotsav as an International Telugu Children’s fest. He said it’s going to be the first annual event and first international event for the Telugu speaking children across the nations. Sagar said that APNRTS will extend support to the participants from overseas. He said that October, 31 is last date for sending applications. He said that VVIT woud provide free food and accommodation to all the participants and their guardians during the event. There is no entry fee to take part in the event. ANU registrar Prof.John Babu, rector Dr.KRS Sambasiva Rao were also present.
