The Rithala Assembly constituency, situated in North West Delhi, is preparing for a high-stakes battle in the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections. Created during the 2008 delimitation, Rithala is a critical seat under the North West Delhi Lok Sabha constituency. Rithala is notable for its metro station on the Delhi Metro's Red Line, which serves as the western terminal on the East-West corridor. In the 2020 Assembly elections, AAP's Mohinder Goyal retained his seat with 87,940 votes, defeating BJP's Manish Chaudhary by a margin of 13,873 votes. Goyal had also won in 2015, securing 93,470 votes, with BJP's Kulwant Rana and Congress's Jagdish Yadav trailing far behind. The North West Delhi Lok Sabha constituency, of which Rithala is a part, witnessed a resounding victory for BJP’s Yogendra Chandelia in the 2024 General Elections. Chandelia defeated Congress’s Udit Raj by a massive margin of 2,90,849 votes, showcasing the BJP’s growing influence in the region.
