As per the latest data, Chhaava has grossed approximately Rs 2.48 crore in advance bookings across India, with block seats pushing the total to Rs 3.59 crore. Maharashtra leads the charge with an impressive Rs 1.68 crore in advance bookings, rising to Rs 2.22 crore when factoring in block seats. The strong response in Maharashtra was expected, given that the film tells the story of one of the region’s most revered historical figures.
The state has recorded a 13% real occupancy rate across 1,568 shows, with 77 shows nearing full capacity and 152 shows filling fast. This overwhelming response showcases the deep emotional connection the audience has with the legacy of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
While Maharashtra has contributed the lion’s share of the bookings, other states have shown comparatively modest responses.Karnataka (Rs 10.49 lakh; 8% occupancy) and Telangana (Rs 13.95 lakh; 14% occupancy) have registered relatively strong numbers among non-Maharashtrian states.Northern states like Delhi (Rs 9.68lakh), Gujarat (Rs 9.96 lakh), and Rajasthan (₹7.6 lakh) are witnessing steady yet lower demand.Southern markets like Tamil Nadu (Rs 2.25 lakh) and Kerala (Rs 37K) are showing limited traction, as expected for a historical drama centered around a Maratha warrior.
