'. The film was announced in July last year and is currently under shoot. A while ago, Ranveer's pictures from the set were leaked and many compared his long hair, beard look to his Allauddin Khilji look from 'Padmaavat'. Another look of Ranveer wearing a turban had also gone viral and netizens were intrigued by it. And now, Etimes captured Ranveer and Akshaye shooting for the film in the city.
The actors were shooting at Filmistan Studio. While Akshaye Khanna was seen in a black kurta look, Ranveer was spotted in a cargo pants, ganji with a hoodie and sunglasses. Our source told ETimes, that this is was their actual costume for the shot in the movie. Ranveer had his long hair and beard look intact for the movie. Reports suggest that Ranveer plays a RAW agent in the film which is based on real events from India’s intelligence history.

Just recently, director Aditya Dhar spoke about the film in an interview. He had also praised Ranveer and said that he has outdone himself. Dhar said, "We are currently filming it. We will try to release it by the end of this year. I am happy with the outcome; it’s shaping up really well. Ranveer Singh has outdone himself in the film. Watch out."
Earlier when the film was announced, Ranveer had penned a note and thanked his fans for being patient with him. He expressed, "This one is for my fans, who have been so patient with me, and been clamouring for a turn like this. I love you all, and I promise you, this time, a cinematic experience like never before. With your blessings, we embark on this great, big motion picture adventure with spirited energy and pure intent. This time, it’s personal."
