The two-hero film, tentatively titled A6, has been in the news, with reports suggesting that discussions are underway with Rajinikanth to play the parallel lead. With pre-production work going on, the project is expected to commence filming soon. However, the big-budget film, is reportedly being developed on a staggering Rs 500 crore budget.
According to Bollywood Hungama, the director is crafting a never-seen-before cinematic world that integrates period drama and reincarnation themes. Meanwhile, leading man Salman is reportedly working on achieving a specific physique for his role in the film.
Meanwhile, conflicting reports have emerged regarding the fate of the film, suggesting that it has been shelved. According to Masala.com, the highly-anticipated action drama has been put on the back burner, with no official clarification on the reasons for its cancellation. Neither Salman Khan nor Atlee has commented on these reports.
Initially, the makers were considering casting either Kamal Haasan or Rajinikanth alongside Salman. Should it proceed as planned, A6 is expected to be a pan-India release in multiple languages, tentatively scheduled for 2026.
Meanwhile, Salman, on the other hand, is gearing up to bring his next action film to the big screen with the release of 'Sikandar'. The film, directed by AR Murugadoss, will see Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi, and Prateik Babbar in supporting roles.
