Kareena also emphasized how Saif ensures he continues bonding with Sara and Ibrahim despite having Taimur and Jeh. "He'll be like, 'I'm sitting with her. I'm going to be alone; I'm going to chill. I want to give her that particular time.' They've been on holidays together. I think it's important for them to bond. They have everything, but they just have one father. And it's so important for Saif also to give each of his children that time. It doesn't cross my mind the way people discuss it," Kareena explained.
Sara and Ibrahim frequently visit Saif and Kareena's home on important occasions, showcasing their beautiful family bond. Saif's first marriage to Amrita Singh ended in 2004 after being together since 1991. Recently, Saif and his family were attacked at his Bandra residence. In an exclusive interview with Delhi Times, Saif Ali Khan described the terrifying encounter when an armed intruder entered Jeh’s room at midnight. Upon hearing the house help’s alert, Saif rushed to confront the masked man, who attacked him. Despite being barefoot and unarmed, Saif wrestled with the intruder until house help Geeta intervened. Covered in blood and injured, Saif later realized he had been nicked near the spine.
During the chaos, Kareena swiftly took Jeh out of the room. Jeh witnessed some of the incident but remained calm. Taimur also stayed composed and accompanied Saif to the hospital.
Though initially believed to be locked inside, the intruder escaped through a drainpipe. Covered in blood, Saif, Taimur, and house help Hari hailed a rickshaw to Lilavati Hospital. The driver, sensing the urgency, took them quickly and respectfully to the hospital.
Talking about Taimur's reaction to the ordeal, Saif shared, "He was absolutely composed. He was fine. He said, ‘I’m coming with you.’ And I thought, if something happens... I was getting a lot of comfort just from looking at him at that time. And I didn’t want to go alone. My wife sent him, knowing what he would do for me. Maybe it wasn’t... at the moment, it was the right thing to do. I felt good about it. And I also thought, if God forbid, something happens, I’d like for him to be there. And he wanted to be there also."
Saif continued, "So we went—Taimur, me, and Hari—in the rickshaw. The rickshaw guy saw the blood, and he knew something had happened. But I think because of the kid, he kind of gave the whole thing some respectability. He saw that we were decent people, somehow. I don’t know how. And he was so amazing—he took a shortcut and took it easy on bumps. He drove me to Lilavati."
Saif also shared Jeh’s reaction to the incident. "Jeh has given me a plastic sword and said, ‘Keep this by your bed for the next time the chor comes.’ He says, ‘Geeta saved Abba, and Abba saved me.’ Taimur is a little concerned about security. Sara was very emotional, and Ibrahim was also very emotional, more than he normally is. He was there and has been spending a lot of time with me."
Saif concluded by thanking his well-wishers and expressing gratitude for his family's courage during the ordeal.
On the work front, Saif will be seen next in the OTT film 'Jewel Thief'.
