Exclusive - Bigg Boss 18 fame Shrutika Arjun says talent in the showbiz world is more important than marital status, cites Alia Bhatt's example

Shrutika Arjun

has become a household name with her recent stint in

Bigg Boss 18

. Her journey on the show impressed everyone. From the very beginning, she captivated the audience with her strong personality and fearless attitude. Throughout her time in the house, she proved to be a strategic player, navigating through alliances and challenges with grit. In the show, Shrutika was often seen missing her husband, Arjun, and their son.
Days after the show ended, Shrutika Arjun revealed that even though married women used to face difficulties finding work in the entertainment industry before, she is glad that it is not the case anymore.
"The industry has changed significantly. Today, many married actresses are leading successful careers without facing the challenges that were common in the past. Actresses like Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, and Nayanthara have proven that marital status does not affect their opportunities. The mindset of both audiences and filmmakers has evolved, with a greater focus on talent and performance over personal life choices," she said.
"Talent has always been the key to success, and now more than ever, it takes precedence over marital status. The industry is filled with talented women breaking barriers and redefining norms. While luck and timing play a part, it is talent that ultimately determines an artist’s longevity and success, irrespective of whether they are married or not," the actress added.

Shrutika cited examples of Alia Bhatt and Nayanthara and praised them for proving that marital status cannot overtake talent. "The industry’s perspective has evolved. Actresses like Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif are prime examples of how marriage is no longer seen as a limitation. They continue to take on lead roles, sign major projects, and inspire millions. Their success demonstrates that the industry now values professionalism and talent above marital status," she stated.
Shrutika Arjun further mentioned that people today no longer consider that a marriage can end a woman's acting career. "Women today are successfully balancing personal and professional lives while thriving in their careers. With evolving societal attitudes and strong support systems, they can pursue both family and career goals without compromise," she said.
However, the Bigg Boss 18 star also suggested that more improvements can still be made in the showbiz world.
