hey y'all, im new to this site and your community, i'm a bit of a writer, and currently ive got a 'answer' if you will to the last Titans finale, because quite frankly, it was disappointing. If you wanna check it out, i'll post it below, feel free to comment anytime! (this here little bit of venting is by no means related to the actual Teen Titans series, i just did it for fun)
Frostfire was different from most people, even different from the superheroes who called themselves the Teen Titans. Yes, he knew of the Titans, he followed them closely. Whenever they were in a battle, he was in the shadows, ready to help, for there was one member of the Titans that he felt strangely connected with, the azarathian, Raven.
Perhaps it was seeing the strange total eclipse that made him antsy, perhaps it was watching the way the titans defeated Plasmus so easily, or perhaps it was just a feeling. Whatever the reason, Frostfire wasn’t surprised when day become night, and night became fire. All around him the mortals turned to stone, he knew the titans would be safe, and he had a strange feeling he would be too. Now, he stood on a silent street, realizing the extent of what had happened, the world had been altered, life had ceased, but why had he been spared? On that street, dressed in black robes with bright blue flames along the edges, eyes burning red from the inside out, breath freezing upon exhale, hair that seemed to burn and a gem as black as night embedded into his forehead he stood, wondering what he should do. Finally he came to a decision, he wasn’t sure how, maybe it was just a feeling, but he thought he should start walking towards a tower in the distance, seated on that tower like a giant throne, its back to him sat Trigon, the very demon that had caused all this, he sat watching a show, six duelists fought before him. Three of whom were members of the titans, Cyborg, Starfire, and Beast Boy. The others, ghostly images of the heroes’ dark sides.
Frostfire could see none of this, he only knew that he had to get to Trigon, so he began walking. “Why was I spared?” He asked, his voice sounding like a roaring fire on a cold day. “Because, someone saved me…” A second voice replied, this one like leaping into a cold lake on a hot day. “But why save me? Why waste their energy on someone they don’t know? I have no friends… only the titans, whom I seem more to guard then befriend.” “Someone knows of me…. Or perhaps I saved myself…. Somehow.” He looked down at his hands, then towards the blazing sky. “No…” The first voice said heatedly. “Someone out there saved me…” “But who?” The second asked, and Frostfire repeated the question in a human voice. “Who could have saved me and why?” A small black bird alighted before him, its eyes as red as blood. ‘Follow me’ it seemed to say as it flew off slowly, following the streets. Frostfire started walking without realizing it, this whole thing seemed like a crazy dream. ‘Use your powers’ a soft voice said in his mind. ‘Fight Trigon… defeat him.’ The bird led him to the edge of a fiery river, in the middle of which sat Trigon, watching the numerous explosions and super powers being unleashed before him, Frostfire watched in a daze. The bird flew out over the water in the same slow pattern as before. Frostfire closed his eyes, this was insane! “What do I do?” His human voice asked. “I must fight.” The two voices said together. He knelt down, his head bowed, one hand on the ground. “Azarath Pyruso Kryoma.” He chanted quietly. One of his arms burst into red light, the other in blue, he felt wings emerge from his back, he felt the warmth as they caught fire. He felt his hands grow cold as they turned into ice, but most of all, he felt the power flow into every part of his body. Frostfire stood up and opened his eyes, where once was nothing but red, now housed icy blue flames. He stood for a few more moments, drawing in his power, entranced as his mind worked to control the elements and keep the darkness that went with it in check. When he came back to himself the battle was over, the three dark figures stood over the titans lifeless bodies, behind them Trigon gave a great laugh. “You thought to defeat me? I rule this world now! My daughter saw to that.” He never moved, his was still gathering his strength, the three shadow figures fell into the bodies of their original hosts and died with them.
“TRIGON!” A voice called from across fire. Frostfire was flying towards the great demon, his eyes glowing brightly, in one hand he held a fireball, in the other liquid ice. “Who dares strike Trigon? The ruler of this world!” Trigon batted his great hand and knocked Frostfire away. “You aren’t worth my time, besides, you have other problems, like yourself.” The demon held up his hand, drawing energy from Frostfire and creating a shadow image, as he had done with the others. “You’re dark side is getting the best of you” He taunted as the shadow rushed towards him, the two landed heavily on a floating piece of rock, for every move Frostfire made his shadow would counter. “I know your moves, give it up!” It shouted, casting a dark fireball towards him. “Never! I never leave a job unfinished and I never…. back… down!” He drew power from the lava around them, freezing it into solid earth and blocking the blast as best he could. “Then you will die!” The shadow roared, casting a spell of ice on the earth shield and destroying it before unleashing a second shadow flame. Frostfire took the brunt of this strike and fell back, inches from the liquid inferno below. “Submit and I will spare you’re life!” Trigon bellowed as the shadow moved closer, ready to strike. Frostfire shot out over the lava and upwards, letting his wings brush against the molten surface. “I don’t think so.” “THEN PERISH!” Trigon shot a beam of pure energy straight at him while his shadow shot an ice beam from below. “AGH!” Frostfire tried to dodge but it was too late, he was blown across the city and landed in a shrine of sorts, he was nearly unconscious, before him, spiraling down was a great staircase, he had to hide but he didn’t have the strength. “Azarath Pyruso Kryoma” He said weakly, falling onto the stone floor. A ghostly image rose from him, floating in the air. “Play dead.” It said, grinning at the seemingly lifeless body then flying into the hole, he didn’t know why, but he felt that hope was down there, hope and the power to defeat Trigon. The path spiraled down for a long time before leveling off over a river of molten rock, Frostfire’s astral projection flew along, not disturbing the fire, feeling the dark eyes of unseen foes around him he flew silently on, knowing he was powerless in this form. Up ahead he heard voices, both of them male, a younger one and one of an adult, as he neared he saw the leader of the titans, Robin, facing his greatest foe, Slade. “This is where we part company, your friend is that way, I’m going to a slightly hotter place.” “That’s it? No double cross, no cryptic threats?” “A deal is a deal, try some gratitude.” Slade said, turning and walking off without another word over a stone bridge, Robin’s path took him along a cliff face. Frostfire decided to follow him, he wasn’t sure why. The cave opened up into a starry sky, a small church sat before them in the center of a lava pool, towards it, a stone path, lined with strange statues, each topped with a flaming torch. As Robin passed the torches became ghost like demons enveloped in fire. “You guys again?” Robin asked smugly, taking out a specialized birdarang sword and hacking them to bits, as he fought more and more statues transformed into the flaming ghosts. Frostfire took this chance to explore the church, he slipped past the combatants and inside. He scanned the area, seeing nothing. Shortly he heard footsteps and instinctively took cover in a dark corner. Robin entered, looking around cautiously as he stepped towards the front. There was a flash of white, then another, closer. Robin followed it deeper into the church, Frostfire stayed back but followed as well. There was one more flash of white near a pile of rubble, then a cloaked figure fell, its bright white cape concealing it. Robin pulled the cloak aside. “Who are you?!” A scared voice asked, a little girl looked up at him, dressed in white with a red jewel embedded into her forehead. “Raven its..” The little girl held up her hand, there was a flash of black and a beam struck robin squarely in the chest, he flew back, through the wall of the church and into the lava below. The little girl looked down at her hand, tears forming in her eyes. Frostfire couldn’t believe it; Raven had reverted back to being a child. “Raven?” Frostfire came into view, the little girl quickly hid her hands, she was scared but she didn’t want to kill again. “Do you remember who you are?” “How can I remember?” She asked in a meek voice. “When you don’t remember who YOU are.” Her voice matured instantly and in a flash of light she was back to her original self, still clad in white however, she was now an older teenager, as were all the titans. “Remember what?” Frostfire asked, looking back at where robin had fallen to his death. “How could you murder you own fri-“ He was cut off as Raven held up her hand. “He’s fine… they’re all fine…. It’s you who has troubles.”
“Troubles? What troubles? Other then being the sole survivor of the apocalypse?” Frostfire asked, still not comprehending the situation. “I’ll be happy to explain it.” Raven said, levitating off the ground and sitting in meditation. “Please do.” Frostfire said, copying her. “There is a place called Azarath…” Several hours passed as Raven did her best to explain the situation. “Let me get this straight… that guy is your DAD!?” Raven nodded. “And it was your pre-designed destiny to unleash his power and destroy the Earth?” Another silent nod. “And it’s MY job to put him back in this prison?” “Yes.” Raven said simply. Frostfire stared for a long moment, trying to get his mind around all this. “There is one other thing…. If you get your memories back it will be clearer.” “But how do I get them?” Raven reached up and pointed to the jewel on his forehead. “You can’t do it here, but back in your body that should give you your memories.” “And if it doesn’t?” Raven shrugged. “Let’s focus on getting out of here first.” The two quickly left the church and bolted for the cave entrance, Frostfire expected to have to fight several demons but though a few rose from the fire none attacked. “Uh…” “I’m the portal remember? If they ever want out of here they’ll ensure my safety.” “Oh yeah…” Frostfire nodded and the two continued on, up the winding staircase and back to the shrine, Frostfire quickly leapt into his body and sat up. “Ow my head…” “Dad likes to play rough, sorry.” Raven smiled weakly and poked the gem on his head. “Azarath Metrion Zinthos” She chanted, the gem responded, pulsing with light briefly, then calming. “Well?” Raven asked hopefully. Frostfire opened his eyes and stood up, his wings folding behind him. “I remember.” He said firmly. “Good.” Raven flew ahead some, Frostfire followed, the two soon reached the throne of Trigon. Frostfire flew down before him while Raven stayed back. “You know who I am don’t you?” Frostfire asked, pointing one icy finger at the demon. “You are called Frostfire I believe…” Trigon answered boredly. “Speak my name not my title…” Frostfire said firmly, this received a surprising reaction; Trigon shrank to the size of a human and flew up to his level. “So you got your memories back did you? You’re too late! I can’t be stopped now!” “Speak my name and perish!” Frostfire roared, behind his back, a flame was growing, in its center, an ice crystal. Trigon laughed. “Perish? Bah! Kaikahn, you think to kill me?” Kaikahn smiled icily upon hearing his azarathian name. “Azarath Pyruso Kryoma!” He launched his attack, fire and ice together, the blast struck Trigon and sent him back. “I banish you forever! No portal shall awaken you now! AZARATH…” “Please…. No… you can rule by my side, as my equal…” Trigon begged, staggering to his feet. “PYRUSO….” “I will be YOUR servant.” Trigon corrected. “KRYOMA!” The blast rocketed through the air, eradicating Trigon for good, with his demise, the fire also perished, the people were revived and all returned to normal…. Most of it. “You did your part.” Raven said finally as Frostfire sat against the base of the Titans Tower. “But it didn’t bring them back! You said they were fine!” “They are… you couldn’t bring them back because it wasn’t Trigon’s doing.” Kaikahn looked at her as if she were insane. “I saw them die!” “Saw who die? Surely you’re not talking about me.” Cyborg said, grinning from the doorway of the tower. “But…” “Or maybe he means me, after all, I was tossed into lava.” Robin said, riding up on his motorcycle with Starfire overhead, beast boy leapt out of the window and alighted on the ground as a hawk, turning quickly into a dog and bounding around happily, it was as if nothing had happened, but something had happened, and they all knew it. But few things had changed. Frostfire looked down at the “T” communicator in his hand and up at his new friends. “I can’t accept this…” He said quietly. “You’ll grow into it.” Raven promised, dressed in her usual blue cloak this time. There was another memory the two shared, but they kept it secret. Frostfire smiled slightly and stood. Just then the communicator went off and Robin led the charge. “It’s the Hive again, Titans Go!” With that, the group sped into the city, a stronger team, they had seen the end of the world and lived through it. Somehow, a rash of robberies by a band of super-powered terrorists seemed like small potatoes now.
