We've got a world that swings. (original) (raw)

It seems that it has been tradition in the past for the best man to host a bachelor party for the groom before he begins his life of monogamy with his new bride (o.k. she isn't so new but she is a "new bride" i certainly wouldn't call her used or used up or anything like that ;)) This night of frivolity and wild abandonment allows the poor sod (or is that poormattie*) a few last hours to enjoy the blessed state of being single before he is chained to the burdens of marriage. So this call goes out to any of the gentlemen to make suggestions as to how we might bring about merriment for the sake of our dear fellow Mattie. If for some reason you believe your suggestion may upset the delicate balance of the ladies that read this journal feel free to e-mail your suggestions to me.
* could the handle poormattie have been a foreshadowing of things to come?

helenangel wishes for me to announce that she and everyone she's with is fine. They made it through the hurricanes, they just have no power or phones.
Keep them in your thoughts, or prayers, or whatever it is you do.

Hey, I just got my dress and I thought I'd warn you who have yet to order that they run a bit small.
Maaayybeee I'm in denial about the level of fatness that I'm at, but I own a lot of clothes in the same size as this dress and 48 articles of clothing vs. 1 dress leads me to believe that the dresses run a bit small.
I'm no scientist.
I would recommend thinking about going a size higher. It can always be taken in.
