we were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade at the George Hotel. the courtyard space was amazing and the staff were attentive and friendly. the room, though we were upgraded, had plenty of space and a feel of old-world charm. Dining options were fantastic, with the Oak Room offering a luxurious experience.

Our room upgrade gave us plenty of space, and we loved the thoughtful welcome pack for our dog. The historic vibe added charm, and the Oak Restaurant, while a bit pricey, served the best kippers we've had in years. The breakfast had great variety and fresh options, and the staff was helpful throughout our stay. The communal lounges and gardens were perfect for relaxation. The air-conditioning in the room was a pleasant surprise. The bed was comfortable, and the bar being open late was a bonus.

The staff were exceptional, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. the service was top-notch and the staff members we interacted with were knowledgeable and helpful. the hotel had great off-road parking facilities and the property had a charming and historic ambiance.

The entrance of the hotel had a lingering smell, which was a bit off-putting. the bathroom sink was faulty and had a powerful water flow, resulting in getting soaked while trying to brush our teeth.

Wonderful historic building with great Christmas decorations. Delicious food and excellent service. Comfortable and clean rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful surrounding area with a river for walks and quaint shops. Indulgent afternoon tea and an option to learn more about the hotel's history.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, with easy access to Stamford's main streets and sights. The room was cozy and nicely decorated with a big bathroom. the staff was friendly and helpful. the location was convenient and close to the train station, making it easy for us to explore the city.

The sausages were very spicy and tasted like sawdust. the poached egg was undercooked and the kidneys were overcooked.

During our recent city trip, my family and I had a great experience at this hotel. the room was well-furnished, had a lovely ambiance, and the bathroom was spotlessly clean. the location was also perfect, with easy parking and a beautiful courtyard area. We especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast with freshly sourced ingredients and the daily newspaper that came with it.

We had to specifically ask for information about the area and were surprised when they seemed caught off guard. we found the prices for the facilities and the room to be quite steep, which made it difficult for us to consider returning in the future.
