As the days fly by, I'm astonished to discover how much my tiny little apartment now feels like home. While many things in Japan are still very novel and fascinating, I've completely settled down in my little place. I've also grown quite attached to my little neighbourhood. Despite the fact that I'm not in a massive city, there are tons of shops (video rental, bookstore, drug stores, gift/omiyage shops) suupaa's (grocery stores), bakeries, etc. all within walking distance. So (once again) I've been out of touch, but at least I have a decent excuse this time... In the later half of August, I officially moved to Japan to work as an ALT (Assistant Language Teacher) on the JET Programme. I'm currently residing in Fukui-shi, Fukui-ken and loving it! There is so much that I could say that I don't really know where to begin. I adore where I'm living and I've met some really amazing people from all over the world. While it's very hard to be away from certain people, this is something that I've been wanting to do for a very very long time.
