1. All rules will be followed under a strict one-strike policy. This means players are given one chance to adhere after being reprimanded and then they will be banned from participating.

2. All players will respect the characters they are playing as well as the other characters being represented. Under this rule, while the point of RP is to have fun, insulting other characters beyond in-character limitations will not be tolerated. If something posted is deemed uncalled for by a mod or another player is offended within reason, we will ask that the post be taken down and the behavior not repeated.

3. Players are to keep as in-character as possible within the RP on tumblr as well as in the IRC channel unless it is stated otherwise as permissible; such as when the IRC topic is set to Crack!Chat. This will mean that characters can be as cracky as they want but it will not be considered RPcanon.

4. In keeping with rule 3, players are not allowed to completely change the ideals and personality traits of the character they are portraying without significant PLAUSIBLE character development over a reasonable length of time, and this MUST be first approved by a mod if the player wishes to go in that direction. Otherwise, what is the point of volunteering to play that character?

5. If a player has a problem with anything, whether it's technical, or if they are uncomfortable with something another player is doing, no matter how small, do not be afraid to come to one of the moderators: Aim Screen Names Circlesinruin (RPing Fenris) and Jadeangel86 (RPing Hawke) Or one of us will be in the IRC channel to help you.

If something is bothering the players, it is probably bothering one of us as well, and something CAN be done about it if we know how the players are feeling.

6. All players are required to Tag and Track all prose storylines in the RP by their official tags. If you are not familliar with tagging and tracking said tags, ask a mod to help you. There will be a list of current and completed storylines and their official tags posted to both the Tumblr and the Livejournal Communities for this RP: Torn Trousers

7. All major plot ideas must have titles and must first be approved by a moderator who will then provide an appropriate and official tag.

8. No storylines may be implemented which will affect another players character in any way without the permission of said player and also a mod.

9. Major Storylines should be written in prose at all times. Minor storylines such as the chat-based RPs may contain actions conveyed by asterisks or any other way in which the player is comfortable executing them; i.e. *example action* , /example action, -example action- , etc.

10. Posts should be written in a timely manner if you are part of a major storyline, and players are required to post at least once every other day to keep things on a roll. If a player is going to be away from the internet or the RP for any length of time, they should let a moderator know, as well as post OOC: to let the entire RP know they will be gone. Confer with the other players in the storyline so they can either wait, or find a way to continue until the absent player returns.

1. When reblogging chat-based RPs, Players are encouraged to cut previous entries down to the quote they are replying to in order to keep posts as small as possible. This does not mean there are character limitations on prose entries. Players may write as much as they want; we would just like to keep the tables small so there will not have to be so much scrolling, and the RP can be kept neat.

12. If one character is romancing another, and Players would like to play out explicit sexual situations, while this is a mature RP, we ask that these not be posted to Tumblr, but somewhere else such as maybe in Private Messages in the IRC channel or in Aim. If Players want to compile them and put them somewhere like livejournal and post a link to them on the Tumblr RP for other players who would like to read them, all are more than welcome to do so. We just ask that for people who are sensitive to such things, that entries of explicit nature be kept to more private places.

13. All players are required to join the Livejournal and Tumblr communities, as well as the IRC channel. To join the IRC channel, go here and follow the directions.

14. Have fun, but do so responsibly.
