I'm also new to TO. I'm a terrible skryer, but I do a lot of evocation and ceremonial work, so actually I've been looking for someone who's good at... looking.

The Occult Shop, near St. Clair West Station is the one and only major occult shop. Although, we do have three Hoodoo shops: International Herbs & Co. in Kensington Market, Dolly's Gifts on Bloor near Ossington Station, and Formula 1 Religious Supply (weird name, weirder store) waaay out in Scarborough.

There are several Pagan Pub Moots in the city, which you can likely find through older posts in this group. There are a couple of Golden Dawn groups, a couple of OTO and Thelemic groups, the Wiccan Church of Canada, several Wiccan covens (findable on Witchvox.com), and some Santeria if you look hard enough. Also, Hare Krishnas, Sufis, etc.

Welcome to Toronto, best city in the world, but sadly not the most active or structured occult/magick/pagan scene.

I made a post about a year ago, you can find it here, it lists three stores that can relate to your needs. Specifically the Herbalist, if you're doing GD style magick and need the right incenses.

There is also the Wicca Shop, which you can google. Mixed feelings about it abound, but I'll leave it at that for you.

As for places to get Tarot decks, the World's Biggest Bookstore, actually has a large selection, and a binder with preview cards from most of the decks, so you can peek in first. Also has not a bad magickal section. Crystals and what not are more Wicca Shop and Eternal Moments.

I guess I'm considered a student of comparative religion (and not just because if I don't get into University for what I want, that's my fallback, heh), for while I tend to be the bastard child of Sanatana-Dharma, Vajrayana, Ceremonial magick (pre and post GD), and Chaos magick, I do pretty much devour occult, and religious texts.

Thanks for the tip about the World's Biggest Bookstore - I hadn't thought of that! I'm just getting into studying the Tarot, and was frustrated to think I could only order decks and books online. To be able to preview cards from various decks before buying would be awesome!
