Just got word.....a scene from Couch Surfers 2.... Dex & Cupid, a festival cut of the first scene from Couch Surfers 2 will be screened at SF's Trannyfest in November! Yay! Couch Surfers 2 is seeing the light of day, at least a little :)

The program lineup for the two nights of Tranny Fest 2009 is still being
finalized, but your film will be screened either Nov. 6th or 7th at 8pm.

really want to get hold of cubbyholes or couch surfers (preferably both) but can only find places online from the US.

Couch Surfers Update...waiting Waiting to get word on delivery of "Couch Surfers". Once we get them, orders to Chicago, Minneapolis and Northampton go out followed by screening copies to all the retail locations who have had "Cubbyholes".
Of course, the actors get copies too : )
We'll have copies at EROS in San Francisco immediately, since that's where we are based.
Hopefully tomorrow.
Just wanted to let folks know what's up.

Couch Surfers is off to "Press" We sent off the master dvd, bonus dvd, inserts, cover art to our replicator midweek. Got confirmation today that it all was received. Should know "early next week" on the estimated time of arrival. I say "early next week" since that is Christmas, lol.

Tonight in SF Trannyfest....transerotic screening including a scene from Cubbyholes. 7 pm at LGBT Center 1800 Market Street, $7 but no one turned away for lack of funds.
This is the SF Premier of Cubbyholes.

Trannywood at Trannyfest! Trannywood at 2007 Trannyfest!
SF based Trannywood Pictures is proud to announced the inclusion of their first film, “Cubbyholes: Trans Men in Action” at the groundbreaking Trannyfest.
“It’s very important that we are able to showcase “Cubbyholes” back in San Francisco and within such a cutting edge arts festival like Trannyfest,” said Ken Rowe of Trannywood Pictures. Rowe is referring to the fact that scenes from “Cubbyholes” have screened at Film Festivals around the world, including the Transgender Film Festival in the Netherlands, the Get Bent Festival in the UK, the University of Oregon Queer Film Festival and the Forge Forward Film Fest in Milwaukee.
Trannywood Pictures developed as an incubator project at Eros-the Center for Safe Sex with the filming of “Cubbyholes” in March of 2006. The first film was quicly accepted at the big feminist and Queer sex toy stores as well as the independent stores in the US and Canada. Trannywood produces a new generation of Trans Men porn, as their website suggests they are a “ safe sex, educational and porn production company bringing together a diversity of trans and other queer men….Our models are in various points in their transition, and we support guys who don’t want or plan on being on hormones or don’t want any surgery, as well as those who do. Thus, our films have diverse men with diverse body types.”
“Our films are unique in the marketplace because they include real guys, trans and non trans, interacting and negotiating safe sex. There are no magic appearing condoms in our films, and it’s not unusual for gloves or other latex layers to show up,” said Dex Hardlove, talent coordinator for Trannywood.
“We are excited to see the return of Trannyfest since our films definitely owe a lot to Trannyfest’s founding co-director Christopher Lee’s films. It’s also exciting to have Shawna Virago at the helm of such an important resource as Trannyfest,” commented Rowe.
A section of Cubbyholes: Trans Men in Action will be screened as part of the Transerotic program on Saturday, November 10 at 7 pm at the SF LGBT Center at 1800 Market Street in San Francisco. More information at www.trannyfest.com and www.trannywoodpictures.com.

Early Oct news What's up?
Well, we are beginning a big push to get Cubbyholes on the shelves of stores besides the women own/clean well light places to touch toys and ask about lube stores ....at the same time, really trying to get on the shelves of the remaining the women own/clean well light places to touch toys and ask about lube stores.
And we just submitted Cubbyholes to the Trannyfest Film Festival. If accepted, it will be our SF Premiere...hard to believe after Amsterdam, Manchester, Milwaukee, Eugene and Portland, we haven't shown in our own back yard.
And trumpet please! Our first round of glossy marketing materials for Couch Surfers went off to press yesterday.

not so quiet week Still lots going on. We are still arranging plans for Dex at Gender Odyssey. We have a table with info and probably selling Cubbyholes there. Cubbyholes will be part of at least one workshop. Working out some exciting details with Babeland in Seattle while Dex is up there.
Meanwhile...Babeland just put in a reorder and it's going out today.
And, we are scheduling out final post production work on Couch Surfers.
And....we had an exciting meeting this week beginning to project out future projects and who they are attached to.
(and I ordered more Cubbyholes stickers for Seattle). Lot's of ands this week...hopefully some more to come : )

Chart Topper There aren't exactly best seller charts for movies like Cubbyholes. You can look at our various retail partners websites and sometimes figure out that Cubbyholes is selling better than X or Y...but the truth is, most retailers don't have a lot of the ftm titles, because they either wouldn't sell, or they are out of print.
Our Video on Demand partner, hotmovies.com/gayhotmovies.com and hotmoviesforher.com have a category for FTM films, and they include a few that are hard to find. So, I've noticed that since we've been on there, Cubbyholes has been a consistent best seller.

sun burn A bunch of us here are bone heads and forget to apply or reapply sunscreen. My favorite sun burn though is Dex's. He was listening to his ipod shirtless in the park and has a sun stencil now of his ipod headphones.
Anyway, back to business....
This week, we submitted Cubbyholes to two of the big porn awards...not that we have been nominated, but you can't be nominated unless you've submitted....that nearly sounds dirty. We also hope to be considered for next year's Feminist Porn Awards, besides the two stateside ones I just mentioned.
And the big news....drumroll please......
if you keep track of our Top friends over at myspace, you'll notice a new one....Hysteria in Denver will be carrying Cubbyholes later this week! You can find them at Hysteria.
Like most of our stores, the contact was suggested and followed up by friends and supporters (like you)...so if you know of a location that would be good for Cubbyholes, let us know and let them know.
