Purpose-The purpose of this study is to examine the influence and relationship between product qu... more Purpose-The purpose of this study is to examine the influence and relationship between product quality, information availability, and shipping cost with customer satisfaction among college-level students in Kathmandu Valley. Design/methodology/approach-This research adopted the explanatory research design. The study targeted college-level students in Kathmandu Valley as a population. A total of 400 respondents were selected from the different colleges by using a convenience sampling technique. The questionnaire survey was applied to collect primary data. The study adopted cross tab, independent t-test, and correlation to analyze the data. Findings-The study shows that customer satisfaction is influenced and associated with product quality, information availability, and shipping costs in online shopping. The availability of information is a major factor in customer satisfaction with online shopping. Online shopping companies must uphold reliable websites, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information about products and services to attract potential customers. Additionally, they need to maintain the standard of quality for retaining existing customers and meeting their expectations in enhancing the company's reputation. Research limitation/implications-The study examines only three explanatory variables i.e., product quality, availability of information, and shipping cost so that future researchers can study other factors impacting customer satisfaction among college-level students of Kathmandu Valley in different geographic concentrations with new analytical tools. Originality/value-The study targeted college-level students of Kathmandu Valley as population. The study is based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), developed by Fred Davis in 1986 to measure the results.

The studies that have focused on other customers’ role as a social component of the service environment have led to the development of a comprehensive measure of other customer perception. Thus, based on the social impact theory, attraction theory and the theory of uniqueness, the study analysed the effect of Other Customer Perception (OCP), Need for Uniqueness (NFU and their interaction on service experience and revisit intention by employing a scenario-based quasi-experimental research design with a sample of 127 job holder postgraduate management students using convenient sampling technique. The study employed MANOVA GLM model and concludes that while the impact of consumers’ perceptions of other customers’ similarity does influence service experience of the customers, demonstrating that not only the restaurant itself, but also the entities in the surrounding network such as other customers have an impact on service experience and their revisit intention. Therefore, other customer effect, which works as a basis for service experience and revisit intention, should not be neglected when designing the surroundings in restaurant settings.

The main objective of this study is to investigate the factors affecting online shopping behaviors of students in Kathmandu. The research adopted the descriptive research design. The method of convenience sampling method was used while selecting the samples. There was total 50 students were selected for this study from different college of Kathmandu. Statistical software was used to analyze the data. The study found that 'security' was perceived to be highest and most influential factor of online shopping behavior whereas 'price' was perceived as second most important influential factor, and 'convenience' was perceived to be least important factor influencing the online shopping behavior of the students in Kathmandu. The future researcher can study the shopping behaviour of general public having with a larger sample size.

They socialize through mobile and internet interaction. College-level students spend too much time playing online games to interact with others. Objective: The study examines the relationship and impact of online gaming on students' academic performance in the Kathmandu Valley. Design/methodology/Approach: The study has adopted descriptive and causal research designs to deal with the various issues raised in this study. Respondents were BBA-level students in the Kathmandu Valley. We selected four hundred respondents through a purposive sampling technique. Primary data was the main source of information. It was quantitative. The study used a well-structured survey questionnaire to collect the data. We analyzed the data using mean, median, standard deviation, variance, correlation, and regression analysis. Findings: The analysis indicates that the frequency of online gaming has a certain impact on students' academic performances, although this impact is relatively minor. Moreover, the data reveal that online gaming does affect academic performance in terms of gender. Conclusion: Concerned institutions need to organize awareness programs to inform of the positive and negative impacts of online gaming frequency to students, parents, and teachers. Teachers can use only educational games to get students involved in the classroom because game apps related to course books are made to test a person's ability to think critically and analyze information so that students can solve more complicated problems. Future researchers can study other factors that affect students' academic performance with a larger sample size and from a wide area using quantitative data to address the research problem.

Word-of-mouth is the sound of new ideas reaching our ears through discussion, information sharing... more Word-of-mouth is the sound of new ideas reaching our ears through discussion, information sharing, radio, storytelling, etc. When people hear another story, its impact is felt in their brains. It is a free type of advertising brought by consumers’ perceptions, sentiments, and ideas. The purpose of this study is to explore the impact of rapport, source similarity, source attractiveness, trust, and physical evidence on mobile phone purchasing intention. The research design was analytical for this study. The population of mobile phone users was targeted to survey. The study was conducted among 199 respondents within Kathmandu Valley. The respondents were chosen at the mobile shop using a convenience sampling technique. Quantitative data was used in nature, and the main source of information for the study was primary data. A questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale has been made to collect the needed data and information. Respondents were given 250 questionnaires, but only 210 were sent back. 199 of them were valid and were put into the SPSS spread sheet. Data was analyzed and interpreted using statistical methods like descriptive statistics such as mean, standard deviation and inferential statistics as independent sample t test, correlation, and regression. According to the study’s findings, rapport, source similarity, source attractiveness, trust, and physical evidence all had an impact on mobile purchasing intention. The findings also revealed that trust and physical evidence had an impact on mobile phone purchase intentions. However, rapport, source similarity, and source attractiveness did not significantly affect the purchase intentions. In addition, researchers can study the causative factors of the purchase decision and analyze the effect of demographic variables on word of mouth and purchase intention.

The present shopping trend has gradually shifted from grocery stores to shopping malls. The objective of the study was to measure the association and effect of advertising and the purpose of visits on purchasing behavior in the shopping malls among Nepalese consumers. The current research is descriptive and analytical. The participants in the study were from Kathmandu valley residents who frequently visited shopping malls. The sample size was 384. The convenience sampling technique was adopted to choose respondents. The survey questionnaire was used to collect primary data on a six-point Likert scale. The data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, independent sample, t-test, correlation, and regression analysis. The study discovered that advertising has an association but does not significantly influence purchasing behavior in shopping malls. The study also found that the purpose of visits has an association with and influences purchasing behavior in the shopping mall. In addition, gender effect only on purpose to visit but not advertising and purchasing behaviour at the shopping mall. Future researchers can investigate other factors that influence purchasing decisions in the shopping mall.

The government of Nepal has declared 33% women's participation in various sectors. It has also introduced a female quota for women's participation in various organizations. The study analyzed the role of social factors in women's involvement in income-generating activities for women's empowerment. The study used a descriptive and explanatory research design. The study was conducted among the 60 working women living in the Baneshwar area of Kathmandu by applying the judgmental sampling technique. Primary data was the main sources of information. A survey questionnaire was adopted to gather the required information from respondents. The study adopted mean, standard deviation, correlation, and regression to analyze data to address the research problem. The result shows that the mean value of social factors was 3.0 to 4.6. The average of all social factors was 3.85, close to the agreement point. Hence, it concluded that women were moderately empowered through their involvement in income-generating activities. Social factors significantly impacted women's empowerment, with R-square = .172, and p-value = 0.001. The future researcher can study strategies to empower women through entrepreneurship skills.

Nepal's only cooperative public transportation system is Sajha Yatayat. Additionally, many public transportation options are operated by private companies. Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal; hence the population and public transportation are under significant strain. Therefore, this location was chosen for the research on passengers' satisfaction with the service quality of public transportation. The survey issued 80 questionnaires to riders of public transportation. 52 surveys were returned. Forty of the samples were valid for analysis. 26 passengers (65%) said that evening and nighttime access to public transportation was extremely limited. In addition, 16 (40%) of respondents felt uneasy riding in public transportation. Similarly, 27 (67.5%) respondents noted poor hygiene, and 22 (55%), dangerous public transportation. However, the majority of passengers are dissatisfied with the accessibility, comfort, cleanliness, and safety of public transportation. Only the transportation fare provides satisfaction to passengers. In order to increase passenger happiness, the relevant authority should be accountable for enhancing the service quality of public transportation.

Product features are focused on promoting soft drinks because they play a vital role in meeting the customers' expectations. The study aimed to measure the relationship between packaging and taste in consumers' preference for soft drinks. The present study is descriptive and analytical. Primary data was the leading source for the survey. The five-point Likert scale questionnaire survey was developed to collect preliminary data. This study targeted customers who had used soft drinks to obtain the necessary data. Three hundred and fifteen respondents were selected within the Kathmandu valley, adopting a convenience sample technique. The study applied tools like mean, standard deviation, independent sample t-test, correlation, and regression to analyze the data. The study found that packaging and taste positively impact consumers' preference for soft drinks. However, packaging has a high association. Gender does not affect consumers' choice and packaging but has an impact on taste. Packaging is the most important feature that adds a plus point to attractiveness. So, the company should redesign the packaging model of the product to meet the consumer's expectations.

Respondents were targeted drivers of two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles. 98 respondents were selected through convenience sample technique. Quantitative data as nature and primary data as sources of information were considered for the study. Primary data were collected and analyzed in systematic way to derive the findings. A well-structured survey questionnaire was administered to collect the data. In this study, data were analyzed using mean, median, mode, standard deviation, variance and trend analysis. Based on the Likert scale question, poor road condition was considered as the first important cause, drunk driving was considered as the second important cause, and over speed was considered as the third important cause influencing the road accident in the Kathmandu valley.

The main objective of this study was to explore the gender impact on prepurchasing behaviour of consumers of electric vehicle. The study was based on the quantitative design. The study was conducted in the Kathmandu valley among the electric vehicle users. The total sample size was 55. The standard structured questionnaire survey was used to collect the data. the study found that majority (72.7%) of the owner of electric vehicle were male. comparatively higher number (23.6%) customers had given most important to the information of electric vehicle based own their previous experience whereas least (1.8%) customers had given most important to the information disseminated through advertisement. Similarly, higher numbers (61.8%) customers reported that if they had any doubts or queries about the electric vehicle before purchasing decision, they directly consulted with the Company dealer to be clear in their queries. There was no impact of gender on pre-purchasing behaviour of customers of electric vehicles. Both male and female had similar practice of seeking the information before taking purchase decision. The future researcher should conduct the research on the purchase decision factors related to the electric vehicle users.

Another purpose is to evaluate the effect of gender on over speed, poor road condition, drunk driving, weather condition and road traffic accidents. Design/methodology/ approach-The study targeted to drivers of two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicle as population. 100 respondents were selected through a simple random sampling technique based on the police report list during last 5 years of Kathmandu valley. Primary data was sources of information for the study. It was collected by applying a well-structured survey questionnaire. Cronbatch's Alpha coefficients were used to examine the internal consistency of the factors and an independent sample t-test was adopted to analyze differences in road traffic accidents, poor road condition, drunk driving and weather condition in terms of gender. Mean standard deviation, variance, and correlation were adopted to analyze the data in a systematic way to derive the findings for the study. Findings-The study found that there is a relationship between poor road conditions, drunk driving, and weather conditions on road traffic accidents in Kathmandu valley. The study also found that gender has no impact on poor road conditions, weather conditions, and road traffic accidents except for drunk driving. It can be concluded that poor road conditions and weather conditions are major factors causes of road traffic accidents. Research limitation/ implications-The study evaluated only three explanatory variables i.e., poor road conditions, drunk driving, and weather conditions in the entire study so that future researchers can study other factors impacting the road traffic accident of the general public with a larger sample size with new analytical tools. Originality/value-The list of the drivers who had got at least one time accident was obtained from police report. The study based on domino theory developed by Heinrich in 1980 to have outputs.

It investigated that purchase decision was positively impacted by product design but gender has no impact on product design for choice of laptop.

The study's objective was to identify multiple difficulties that women entrepreneurs face before and after starting their enterprise and to examine the knowledge of various aspects of business that Nepalese women entrepreneurs have before starting their businesses. This study adopted a descriptive research design. Primary data was the main source and was collected through survey questionnaires of women entrepreneurs. The total sample was 200 women entrepreneurs selected through purposive sampling throughout Kathmandu valley. Data has been processed in the computer using SPSS. Descriptive statistics such as mean and standard deviation were applied to analyze data. The study found that the four major problems faced by women entrepreneurs were acquiring working capital, managing new ventures, getting a labor force, and marketing the products.

It is a process that assigns funding costs to asset originators (loans) and funding credits to liability providers (deposits). The study's objective was to measure the awareness and collect opinions regarding FTP practice in Nepal based on a survey of the opinions of branch managers of Nepalese Commercial Banks. The study followed a descriptive research design. All branch managers of Nepalese commercial banks were considered population, of which 40 branch managers were sampled using the purposive sampling technique. The branch managers were interviewed through personal meetings and telephone using structured open-ended questions to have information regarding the attitude of practitioners on the FTP system. Data has been analyzed based on one-to-one interviews. The study reveals that only 25 branch managers were found to have enough awareness of the FTP system. Thus, further study was focused on 25 branch managers. Negative responses were found regarding the possibility of an independent negotiated FTP system among branches. In conclusion, the practice of advanced FTP systems results in higher productivity among branches, so Nepalese managers should reasonably know about the FTP system.

This study aims to examine the relationship between overall attitude and shopping mall purchasing behavior and impact of advertising and purpose to visit on shopping mall purchasing behavior in Nepalese consumers. The present study is descriptive and analytical in nature. Structured questionnaire technique under survey approach was applied for collecting primary data with five point Likert scale questionnaire. The population of this study targeted the consumers of shopping malls in Kathmandu valley. The sample size has been derived for unknown population that is 384. The judgmental sampling technique was used in this research to make this study more inclusive and representatives. Descriptive statistics and inferential statistics (correlation analysis and regression analysis) have been used to analyze the data. It is found that there is strong association between shopping mall purchase behavior and overall consumer attitude. The study found that purpose to visit has impact on shopping mall purchase behavior. The study also found that advertisement has no significant impact on shopping mall purchase behavior.

The descriptive research design had selected for the study to describe the factors that affect the purchase decision. The study had used some statistical models like mean, medium, St. deviation, and correlation to analyze the data. The result shows that product attributes, price and brand was regarded as first, second, and third most important factors respectively. The correlation analysis shows all the independent variables: price, brand and product features had positive and significant relationship in consumer buying decision towards Smart Phones. The main objective of this study is to investigate the factors affecting online shopping behaviors of students in Kathmandu. The research adopted the descriptive research design. The method of convenience sampling method was used while selecting the samples. There was total 50 students were selected for this study from different college of Kathmandu. Statistical software was used to analyze the data. The study found that 'security' was perceived to be highest and most influential factor of online shopping behavior whereas 'price' was perceived as second most important influential factor, and 'convenience' was perceived to be least important factor influencing the online shopping behavior of the students in Kathmandu. The future researcher can study the shopping behaviour of general public having with a larger sample size.

They socialize through mobile and internet interaction. College-level students spend too much time playing online games to interact with others. Objective: The study examines the relationship and impact of online gaming on students' academic performance in the Kathmandu Valley. Design/methodology/Approach: The study has adopted descriptive and causal research designs to deal with the various issues raised in this study. Respondents were BBA-level students in the Kathmandu Valley. We selected four hundred respondents through a purposive sampling technique. Primary data was the main source of information. It was quantitative. The study used a well-structured survey questionnaire to collect the data. We analyzed the data using mean, median, standard deviation, variance, correlation, and regression analysis. Findings: The analysis indicates that the frequency of online gaming has a certain impact on students' academic performances, although this impact is relatively minor. Moreover, the data reveal that online gaming does affect academic performance in terms of gender. Conclusion: Concerned institutions need to organize awareness programs to inform of the positive and negative impacts of online gaming frequency to students, parents, and teachers. Teachers can use only educational games to get students involved in the classroom because game apps related to course books are made to test a person's ability to think critically and analyze information so that students can solve more complicated problems. Future researchers can study other factors that affect students' academic performance with a larger sample size and from a wide area using quantitative data to address the research problem.

It is a free type of advertising brought by consumers’ perceptions, sentiments, and ideas. The purpose of this study is to explore the impact of rapport, source similarity, source attractiveness, trust, and physical evidence on mobile phone purchasing intention. The research design was analytical for this study. The population of mobile phone users was targeted to survey. The study was conducted among 199 respondents within Kathmandu Valley. The respondents were chosen at the mobile shop using a convenience sampling technique. Quantitative data was used in nature, and the main source of information for the study was primary data. A questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale has been made to collect the needed data and information. Respondents were given 250 questionnaires, but only 210 were sent back. 199 of them were valid and were put into the SPSS spread sheet. Data was analyzed and interpreted using statistical methods like descriptive statistics such as mean, standard deviation and inferential statistics as independent sample t test, correlation, and regression. According to the study’s findings, rapport, source similarity, source attractiveness, trust, and physical evidence all had an impact on mobile purchasing intention. The findings also revealed that trust and physical evidence had an impact on mobile phone purchase intentions. However, rapport, source similarity, and source attractiveness did not significantly affect the purchase intentions. In addition, researchers can study the causative factors of the purchase decision and analyze the effect of demographic variables on word of mouth and purchase intention.

The present shopping trend has gradually shifted from grocery stores to shopping malls. The objective of the study was to measure the association and effect of advertising and the purpose of visits on purchasing behavior in the shopping malls among Nepalese consumers. The current research is descriptive and analytical. The participants in the study were from Kathmandu valley residents who frequently visited shopping malls. The sample size was 384. The convenience sampling technique was adopted to choose respondents. The survey questionnaire was used to collect primary data on a six-point Likert scale. The data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, independent sample, t-test, correlation, and regression analysis. The study discovered that advertising has an association but does not significantly influence purchasing behavior in shopping malls. The study also found that the purpose of visits has an association with and influences purchasing behavior in the shopping mall. In addition, gender effect only on purpose to visit but not advertising and purchasing behaviour at the shopping mall. Future researchers can investigate other factors that influence purchasing decisions in the shopping mall.

The government of Nepal has declared 33% women's participation in various sectors. It has also introduced a female quota for women's participation in various organizations. The study analyzed the role of social factors in women's involvement in income-generating activities for women's empowerment. The study used a descriptive and explanatory research design. The study was conducted among the 60 working women living in the Baneshwar area of Kathmandu by applying the judgmental sampling technique. Primary data was the main sources of information. A survey questionnaire was adopted to gather the required information from respondents. The study adopted mean, standard deviation, correlation, and regression to analyze data to address the research problem. The result shows that the mean value of social factors was 3.0 to 4.6. The average of all social factors was 3.85, close to the agreement point. Hence, it concluded that women were moderately empowered through their involvement in income-generating activities. Social factors significantly impacted women's empowerment, with R-square = .172, and p-value = 0.001. The future researcher can study strategies to empower women through entrepreneurship skills.

Nepal's only cooperative public transportation system is Sajha Yatayat. Additionally, many public transportation options are operated by private companies. Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal; hence the population and public transportation are under significant strain. Therefore, this location was chosen for the research on passengers' satisfaction with the service quality of public transportation. The survey issued 80 questionnaires to riders of public transportation. 52 surveys were returned. Forty of the samples were valid for analysis. 26 passengers (65%) said that evening and nighttime access to public transportation was extremely limited. In addition, 16 (40%) of respondents felt uneasy riding in public transportation. Similarly, 27 (67.5%) respondents noted poor hygiene, and 22 (55%), dangerous public transportation. However, the majority of passengers are dissatisfied with the accessibility, comfort, cleanliness, and safety of public transportation. Only the transportation fare provides satisfaction to passengers. In order to increase passenger happiness, the relevant authority should be accountable for enhancing the service quality of public transportation.

Product features are focused on promoting soft drinks because they play a vital role in meeting the customers' expectations. The study aimed to measure the relationship between packaging and taste in consumers' preference for soft drinks. The present study is descriptive and analytical. Primary data was the leading source for the survey. The five-point Likert scale questionnaire survey was developed to collect preliminary data. This study targeted customers who had used soft drinks to obtain the necessary data. Three hundred and fifteen respondents were selected within the Kathmandu valley, adopting a convenience sample technique. The study applied tools like mean, standard deviation, independent sample t-test, correlation, and regression to analyze the data. The study found that packaging and taste positively impact consumers' preference for soft drinks. However, packaging has a high association. Gender does not affect consumers' choice and packaging but has an impact on taste. Packaging is the most important feature that adds a plus point to attractiveness. So, the company should redesign the packaging model of the product to meet the consumer's expectations.

A well-structured survey questionnaire was administered to collect the data. In this study, data were analyzed using mean, median, mode, standard deviation, variance and trend analysis. Based on the Likert scale question, poor road condition was considered as the first important cause, drunk driving was considered as the second important cause, and over speed was considered as the third important cause influencing the road accident in the Kathmandu valley.

The main objective of this study was to explore the gender impact on prepurchasing behaviour of consumers of electric vehicle. The study was based on the quantitative design. The study was conducted in the Kathmandu valley among the electric vehicle users. The total sample size was 55. The standard structured questionnaire survey was used to collect the data. the study found that majority (72.7%) of the owner of electric vehicle were male. comparatively higher number (23.6%) customers had given most important to the information of electric vehicle based own their previous experience whereas least (1.8%) customers had given most important to the information disseminated through advertisement. Similarly, higher numbers (61.8%) customers reported that if they had any doubts or queries about the electric vehicle before purchasing decision, they directly consulted with the Company dealer to be clear in their queries. There was no impact of gender on pre-purchasing behaviour of customers of electric vehicles. Both male and female had similar practice of seeking the information before taking purchase decision. The future researcher should conduct the research on the purchase decision factors related to the electric vehicle users.

Another purpose is to evaluate the effect of gender on over speed, poor road condition, drunk driving, weather condition and road traffic accidents. Design/methodology/ approach-The study targeted to drivers of two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicle as population. 100 respondents were selected through a simple random sampling technique based on the police report list during last 5 years of Kathmandu valley. Primary data was sources of information for the study. It was collected by applying a well-structured survey questionnaire. Cronbatch's Alpha coefficients were used to examine the internal consistency of the factors and an independent sample t-test was adopted to analyze differences in road traffic accidents, poor road condition, drunk driving and weather condition in terms of gender. Mean standard deviation, variance, and correlation were adopted to analyze the data in a systematic way to derive the findings for the study. Findings-The study found that there is a relationship between poor road conditions, drunk driving, and weather conditions on road traffic accidents in Kathmandu valley. The study also found that gender has no impact on poor road conditions, weather conditions, and road traffic accidents except for drunk driving. It can be concluded that poor road conditions and weather conditions are major factors causes of road traffic accidents. Research limitation/ implications-The study evaluated only three explanatory variables i.e., poor road conditions, drunk driving, and weather conditions in the entire study so that future researchers can study other factors impacting the road traffic accident of the general public with a larger sample size with new analytical tools. Originality/value-The list of the drivers who had got at least one time accident was obtained from police report. The study based on domino theory developed by Heinrich in 1980 to have outputs.

The total sample was 200 women entrepreneurs selected through purposive sampling throughout Kathmandu valley. Data has been processed in the computer using SPSS. Descriptive statistics such as mean and standard deviation were applied to analyze data. The study found that the four major problems faced by women entrepreneurs were acquiring working capital, managing new ventures, getting a labor force, and marketing the products.

It is a process that assigns funding costs to asset originators (loans) and funding credits to liability providers (deposits). The study's objective was to measure the awareness and collect opinions regarding FTP practice in Nepal based on a survey of the opinions of branch managers of Nepalese Commercial Banks. The study followed a descriptive research design. All branch managers of Nepalese commercial banks were considered population, of which 40 branch managers were sampled using the purposive sampling technique. The branch managers were interviewed through personal meetings and telephone using structured open-ended questions to have information regarding the attitude of practitioners on the FTP system. Data has been analyzed based on one-to-one interviews. The study reveals that only 25 branch managers were found to have enough awareness of the FTP system. Thus, further study was focused on 25 branch managers. Negative responses were found regarding the possibility of an independent negotiated FTP system among branches. In conclusion, the practice of advanced FTP systems results in higher productivity among branches, so Nepalese managers should reasonably know about the FTP system.

The judgmental sampling technique was used in this research to make this study more inclusive and representatives. Descriptive statistics and inferential statistics (correlation analysis and regression analysis) have been used to analyze the data. It is found that there is strong association between shopping mall purchase behavior and overall consumer attitude. The study found that purpose to visit has impact on shopping mall purchase behavior. The study also found that advertisement has no significant impact on shopping mall purchase behavior.
