i have trillian pro 3, and it's worked fine for quite a while, but lately i haven't gotten any pop-up messages notifying when i get emails (through msn).
i have trillian on auto-hide, but i always have.
so, when i look at it (if i have an email), i can see the little envelope icon, but i don't get the pop-up notifications anymore.
before anyone asks, i have all "show notification" and "alert me when new email arrives for this account" options on.
and as a side not (in case it means anything), i use firefox 2.0.0.3.
does anyone have any suggestions for what i can do or reasons for why this is happening?

Hotmail settings with Trillian 3.0 & Firefox 2.0 So I use Trillian 3.0 with Firefox 2.0 and recently when I've been trying to check my Hotmail with MSN, it takes me to the log-in screen, and I have to re-enter my password every time - even though I told Firefox to remember both my e-mail address & password. Even then it takes me to Hotmail Today (and shows me a 'My Messages' Summary thing) and not directly to my inbox like it used to.
How do I go directly to my inbox/ new incoming mail if there's only 1 waiting to be read like I used to do?
How do I set it so that I don't have to keep typing in my details every time?
I'm not aware of having changed any settings within Hotmail, so I'm assuming this is a Trillian issue...I'd really appreciate some help.

Patch to ancient Trillian version needed Hi folks!
I've been using Trillian for a long time, and have never really seen the need to upgrade from version .74h. Yes, it has bugs, but I know what they are, and how they affect what portions of Trillian that I use, and how to work around them. I was tempted by 3.1 at first, and then heard all the negative reports about IRC support.
Now, I want to use a part of Trillian .74 that was specifically patched with patch "I". However, I can't find the patch anywhere. All links that used to point to the patch now point to the download of 3.1, or go 404.
Does anyone have a copy of that patch anywhere?

add to contact list doesn’t work! Hey guys, maybe anybody of u knows why “add to contact list” in the dialog box doesn’t work?
It used to work before but now i really hate it how i have to add the new friends in the list. Help!!!

Trillian fucked up on me can anyone help?? I tried changing my user picture on it, to a moving one, and it totally fucked up. I can't sign in anymore, people can't even sign in anymore for me. It's because the picture isn't accepted, but it accepted it anyway. What can I do?

Skins Hi i'm new. My name's Ariel. Anwyay, back to the point. I tried installing the skin HmmXP, and I used tom's configurator. I followed all the directions, and the HmmXP skin still does not show up on the skin list when I restart Trillian. Has anyone had this problem before or does anyone know how to fix it?

Question about multiple connections... I haven't been able to find anything definite about this question, but I think it's possible with the most recent Trillian Pro.
I have two different usernames for each major medium: AIM, MSN, ICQ, and Yahoo. I would really like to be able to connect to each of them simultaneously (yes, that means 8 IM connections at once) WITHOUT them interfering or intermingling with each other. One set is for my internet interaction with people I've met online and my trusted friends. My other ones are dedicated to people who knew me from school etc (which oddly enough I've more run-ins with creeps from high school and college than I've run into online, aside from spam mailers...so I'd like to keep them separate from my more commonly-used screenname).
Is this possible to do?

Hey, I'm operating Trillian Basic 3 and recently, when I try to send images through AIM on Trillian, the respondant will get a message saying "ODC2" in black Times New Roman and it appears like I typed it in place of the image and then the direct connection will close. Any solutions? I've uninstalled, redownloaded, and installed and there's been no change. Any help would be nice. Thanks. :)

Hello. :) Hi, I'm Erin and I'm new. I actually joined to post a question...
So I downloaded Trillian, and for a few weeks it was working beautifully. Then, randomly one night I turned on my computer, and opened Trillian, and it was very strange... the menu bar in my IM windows were gone, and the layout of my buddylist was being weird too... Even the popup alerts were strange; they no longer had the bar at the top that lets you x out of them.

Can you connect to ICQ? I tried to see if there was a patch or something for Trill3, but with the new site design I still get lost. ^^;;
Is anyone else having problems connecting to ICQ with Trillian 3.1? I'm currently using Basic at the moment till I get the cash to upgrade. ^^

Does anyone know of a Trillian 3.0 (or compatible if necessary) skin that is compact, similar to the traditional windows look and has the traditional sounds? More than anything I just want the old sounds back. I suppose I can modify it manually to add those back, I'd just prefer to use a compact skin too, this windows me compact one is kind of ugly.
EDIT: It turns out what I need is a sound pack. MCP has some that I will try.

MY TRILLIAN'S DOWN :-( Hey, for the last few months, my Trillian hasn't been working. I have TrillianPro, and when I log in, the Trillian buddy-list info appears but my AIM, MSN, and YAHOO! *the only sn's I have* won't connect. My toggle window for AIM says:

*** Error while connecting (Error Code: 0). Disconnecting.
*** Reconnecting to AIM as "BigSis9290".
*** Will attempt 10 connections with 60 second intervals.
*** Connecting to AIM as "BigSis9290", attempt #1.

MSN Why does trillian not handle MSN contact lists correctly?
I've tried 3 times but each time it adds ALL my contacts onto there, instead of only the people on my allow list.
I closed it down, spent ages deleting old contacts and re-adding the ones I wanted to keep, then when I logged back in on trillian they were all back again, even the contacts I'd just deleted.
It's really bugging me now...
