This Friday & Saturday! Rocky Horror Returns To DC! [07 Apr 2009|10:09pm]
This Friday and Saturday at 12 Midnight, The Sonic Transducers will bring The Rocky Horror Picture Show to Washington DC's Landmark E Street Cinema! The District's first regular cast in almost five years, the Sonic's perform the second weekend of every month."The longest-running midnight movie of all time stars Tim Curry as the kinky yet endearing “transsexual from Transylvania” Dr. Frank N. Furter, Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick as his hapless guests Brad and Janet, Meat Loaf as motorcycle-riding rough trade and author Richard O’Brien as the hunchbacked butler Riff Raff. It’s harmless musical fun—a delightful spoof of Hollywood horror movies and Old Dark House melodramas. All of our engagements feature live casts who perform scenes during the movie, and the audience is always welcome to respond to the on-screen action. The Rocky Horror Picture was the first—and is still the best—interactive movie experience!"Tickets are 10,10, 10,8 for Students, and $7.50 if you are 62+. Landmark E Street is conveniently located in NW between 10th Street and 11th Street. Walking distance from both Gallery Place and Metro Center, Landmark E Street is accessible from all five Metro lines with no transfers. Last trains leave each Metro at approximately 3am, leaving you plenty of time to catch the train home after the show.Want to be part of the action? The Sonic Transducers are looking for a few good trannies! Email us at sonictransducers@gmail.com, and sign up for performance updates by visiting Our Google Group. While you are at it, be sure to visit the Rocky Horror DC Yahoo Group and sign up to be kept up to date about ALL of the area's Rocky Horror happenings!

ATTN: ALL ROCKY HORROR CAST DIRECTORS!! [18 Jul 2005|01:26am]
Hey guys! I'm Nerie, an (ex) Rich Weirdo from the Universal cast in Orlando, FL. I just wanted to offer your cast a real movie trailer (fit to play in a standard theater!) from Rob Zombie's long awaited debut House of a 1000 Corpses I have it up for sale in my selling journal here:http://www.livejournal.com/users/murderctyharlot/6641.htmlIt was given to me by a friend that worked at a movie theater (I'm a photo student) and he figured I could use it for a project or something. Two years later, I haven't. I've already had one offer (for $20) from someone in a cast in Arizona.. but she hasn't responded to my comments. I'd put it up on Ebay if I didn't think it would be taken down. Anyway, I figured I'd offer it here in case someone wanted it for a pre show for Halloween or some other special weekend viewing. And before you mention it, yes I've already contacted my old cast director about it since my old cast does Moulin Rouge on our off weekends.. apparently he hates horror films! Thanks for looking and if you know of another place to post this, or don't want this here, let me know and I'll delete it!

Trojan Whores,I want to take a minute to clear up a couple things in regards to Formal Dress Optional and the possability of a Shock Treatment show.1. When i made the first post, it was ment to be from me (an individual, not representing the cast) asking for help and advice with big props and blocking. I also figured i would advertise the weekly Rocky Hoorror show that is put on in Newark DE. The post was worded all wrong, and it wasnt untill the cast brought it to my attention that i realised the error of my ways. I'm sorry if i mislead anyone, i had the best of intentions, but it just didnt come out quite right.2. The second post was made when i was under a lot of stress, and had some negative events in my personal life turning me into a Supreme Ass Hat of the Royal Brand. I was upset, and lashed out against the cast. It shouldnt have happened, and I'm sorry it did. Please don't let this form a negative opinion about the cast Formal Dress Optional, they are an alright group, and put on one hell of a good show.3. I am continuing to work on Blocking for the movie, as well as procuring props and stuff, if anyone has any suggestions please contact me at loungelizard362@gmail.com~TimmyPPS: No, i'm not sure what FDO's next move will be (in regards to ST)...y'all will know when i do.

i had posted this somewhere else, and was told i should post it here, so here it is:Hoopla everyone!just to let y'all know, next year the cast Formal Dress Optional is going to put on a couple shows of Shock Treatment (though they don't quite know it yet, it's kinda a grass roots movement). I am currently working on detailed blocking for our theater, the Newark Cinema Center in Newark Delaware, and building props for the show. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for prop building, blocking, costume building etc.if anyone would like to see the props lists i have so far, and /or the stage blocking, leave a comment with your e-mail address.for those of you how are in a cast, later on down the road we might be looking for people to play some parts, and/or help out with props. it's a big show, and i don't think we can fill all the spots.i'll post later on this group, and the shock treatment group, when we decided on a date~TimmyPps: my cast's website is www.formaldressoptional.org check us out
