Welcome to Our Gardens!

OPENING DAY IS MAY 8th, 2025

Please Note: We will be Closed on Mondays this Season

TrueNorth Garden Centre is located in the rolling hills of Northumberland County Ontario, just south of the Village of Warkworth. We are well known for our unique, field-grown daylilies, and also offer a variety of unusual sun- and shade-loving perennials, plus pre-bagged soil, making us a true ‘one-stop-shop’ for all of your gardening needs.

For those who dabble in the culinary arts, we offer garlic, garlic powder and black garlic beginning in late July.

Garden design and planting advice is always available (just ask).

We are now OPEN DAILY from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Our closing date will depend upon the weather and our plant availability.

Our Story…

Your Hosts: Donna Pass and Tim Hobbs

It all started with the gardens from one bed, then another which eventually covered most of our 2 acre property. Then the daylily hybridizing began in 2007, which turned into my passion. This became the beginning of our small business. A few years later, we offered hostas. Then, the next year we offered sun- and shade-loving perennials. This has now expanded to many more varieties, plus soil, soil amendments and rounding out our ever-changing story with garlic & garlic products.

  Wow! I went to buy a perennial Plant Daylilie today and I was amazed with the choices they have. You go and pick your own and the owner is very knowledgeable and their perennials are just gorgeous. Highly recommend to shop there.

  Although the Daylilies were not in bloom, TrueNorth did not disappoint. They have an amazing variety of Hostas in their gardens and for sale! Hoping to return when the Daylilies are in bloom...possibly in a couple weeks.
