The current study is an attempt to evaluate the status of the financial performance of Meghna Petroleum Limited (MPL) through liquidity, profitability and productivity position of MPL. The study found that the financial performance in terms of liquidity and profitability is considered to be below satisfactory level. In case of activity ratio total asset turnover ratio indicates satisfactory which means efficient utilization of investment in generating more revenue. Current assets turnover ratio were also found positive and prove efficient management policy in collecting receivables and clearing stock very quickly. The study also depicted that MPL's long term solvency position in terms of debt to total asset ratio was found highly satisfactory which means less risk of sustainability in the long run. The value of Z also indicates the financial soundness and less risk of bankruptcy of MPL. The study suggest some policy implications for future growth and development of MPL like; introduction of modern technologies and research and development, modern marketing techniques to boost up revenue, suitable pricing policy and the like.

This paper evaluates the performance of Sadharan Bima Corporation (SBC), the public sector general insurance company in Bangladesh, during the period 2007 to 2011. Both primary and secondary data have been used here. The study indicates that the overall performance of the enterprise had been more or less satisfactory during the period. The operational performances profitability, & activity had been satisfactory but the financial performances long-term solvency, liquidity and also productivity were not satisfactory. Finally the paper suggests that for further continuous growth and development, SBC should take strategic steps like, adoption of modern techniques for asset management, follow-up of modern marketing strategies, launching more research & development programs, develop HRD programmes, relaxing pricing rules etc.

But the agricultural credit delivery process of the country faces many problems. In the present study an attempt has been undertaking on evaluation the loans and advance management of Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB). The study finds out that the credit delivery procedure and services of the bank do not satisfy the expectations of the borrowers. More over BKB faces a huge amount of non-performing loans which affects its profitability and productivity. The study finds out the factors that cause non performing loans of banks. The study also suggests a number of measures relating to credit delivery supervision, and recovery and implementation of some policies by the Government relating to legal and administrative reforms.

These clean power resources are used as in Distributed Generation (DGs) units technology to be defined as newer sources of power, Since most of the renewable energy sources are intermittent in nature therefore it becomes a challenging task to integrate RES into the power grid infrastructure. In this paper we’ll discuss on work flows of power forecast forrenewable energy.

Intrinsic silicon micro needle can be doped by conventional diffusion process at HOO o e after VLS growth but in this work in-situ doping is used which requires lower temperature at around 700°C. Boron doped p-type Si microneedles were grown by in situ doped VLS mechanism and the I-V characteristic was observed. It was found that the incorporation of doping reduces the resistivity of the needles and shows nonlinear I-V characteristic. Mathematical model of the I-V characteristic is proposed in this paper which is supported by the experimental values and simulation results.

With the introduction of Smart Metering Technology at Distribution level, the consumer shall have an incentive to switch on their appliances time specific, to have the benefit of choice of low cost power. This paper identifies specific issues that could be developed for Bangladesh's deployment of Smart Metering Infrastructure, recommends appropriate goals, key strategies, and critical objectives in solving those shortcomings, and outlines a practical program, identifying key tasks and necessary expert capabilities, to accomplish that solution in a timely and affordable manner.

The impact of frequent outage of electricity has been detrimental to growth of this sector as well as national economy. Bracing all odds, the sector made significant strides despite serious power interruptions. Bangladesh suffers from a chronic shortage of electric power, caused by a large gap in demand and supply. The situation is deteriorating progressively with time, being caused by the natural growth of the demand for power at one hand and retiring of depreciating power generation plants on the other. Only recently a lean hope starting to grow as the Government has put major share of its budget on energy sufficiency with some small scale additional power plants in various locations of the country. But this addition will not be realized unless major consumers of the generated electricity like RMG industries strive for energy efficiency. This paper thus focuses on energy usage pattern of RMG factories and makes recommendation on efficient energy consumption especially for lighting. The paper also proposes an efficient lighting scheme that will be appropriate in context of the RMG factories which will be also replicable to other heavy-lighting industries. Finally economic analysis has been shown to realize the cost, investment return period and energy savings for the proposed methods.

Applying CCN to the LTE network can be an effective way to provide an optimal content delivery performance in the mobile environment. In order to visualize and demonstrate the performance of CCN in the LTE environment, we propose a new direct code execution simulation framework which integrates the real machines and the network simulator. We also show the performance of real-time video in the LTE network and the CCN-based LTE network using the framework. The proposed framework will be useful for simulation and demonstration of the video performance in various wired and wireless networks including future networks.

One of the issues that need to be resolved in this situation is timely and fast delivery of the requested content to maximize user satisfaction. Content-Centric Networking (CCN) can be considered as an effective way to resolve this issue. CCN is a new networking paradigm for providing more efficient, scalable, secure, and collaborative communications compared to the traditional host-centric networking paradigm. In this paper, we present a CCN-based mechanism for fast content delivery in wireless networks and analyze its performance in terms of transmission efficiency.

Content-Centric Networking (CCN) is being recognized as a very useful technology for efficient and fast content delivery. In this paper, we propose an enhanced cluster-based content access mechanism which accelerates the rapid transmission of contents. The proposed architecture is based on the principles of CCN and incorporates a cluster-based approach for the better performance in terms of content retrieval delay and the traffic overhead compared to the basic CCN and other content delivery architectures.

Both primary and secondary data were used and data were collected from 174 respondents by means of a survey method, using self-administered questionnaires distributed to the respondents at the study area irrespective of respondents' socio-demographic characteristics. The study explored that call charge, network coverage, faster internet service and promotional package such as bonus on recharge, cash back on use are the main features that influence consumers' mobile phone operators' choice and switching behavior. The study also found that there are no significant differences between stayers and switchers with respect to influencing factors except factor 1, supplementary services and factor 2, value added services. Both groups gave more importance on service price and connectivity and mobility factors. So, marketing strategies should be designed and executed by the companies to attract and retain their customers by lowest possible price, strong network coverage and faster internet service.

Sensor fusion is particularly applicable for mobile robots for object detection and navigation. The techniques that have been developed so far for detecting an obstacle are costly. Hence, a new technique is proposed which can detect an obstacle, judge its distance and measure the size of the obstacle using one camera and one ultrasonic sensor. The technique is cheap in terms of sensor cost and in terms of computational cost.
