Textile manufacturing industry is labour-intensive, which is characterized by high-fixed capital ... more Textile manufacturing industry is labour-intensive, which is characterized by high-fixed capital investment; a wide range of product designs and, hence, input materials; variable production volumes; high competitiveness; and often high demand on product quality. To cater these demands, the labour-intensive processes should be converted into automated processes accomplished by the use of computers, models, digital components, and artificial intelligence (AI). AI is the field of study that deals with the synthesis and analysis of computational agents that act intelligently. In this proposition various applications of AI in textile manufacturing industry have been described. And also includes different types of AI such as expert systems, neural network, fuzzy logic, genetic algorithm, and other approaches used in textile and garment manufacturing.

High levels of consistency and precision in work pieces and high levels of repeatability and accuracy in manufacturing equipment have been required. Economic Justification can be shown only for large quantities of production. To achieve this, we need adaptive manipulation systems having some robotics mechanisms. Robotics is no longer a restricted field; it is a universal subject! As a result, the application of robotics in the industrial world as well as the textile industry has resulted in significant benefits. Application of robotics in textile industry is directed at minimizing human efforts in labour-intensive processes. Today automation in textile industry is often to be synonymous with Robotics. Since computer plays a key role in robotics, the word robot has a specific meaning and it has an emphasis in industry specially related to textiles.

However, traditional teaching methods in VET institutions often face challenges in delivering personalized and adaptive learning experiences to a diverse student population. This is where AI can significantly contribute by enhancing teaching methodologies and improving student outcomes. The case study conducted at the Ethiopia Federal TVET Institute demonstrates the relevance of AI in teaching VET. By leveraging AI technologies such as machine learning and natural language processing, the institute implemented innovative solutions to address the unique needs of its students. The study examined the relevance of AI in the key areas: curriculum development, personalized learning, adaptive assessment, practical application, and teacher training and professional development. Therefore, the study states that the relevance of AI to enhanced curriculum development ensures that the content and structure of vocational courses align with industry demands and job market trends. This ensures that students receive relevant and up-to-date training, increasing their employability. And also, AI facilitates personalized learning experiences by tailoring educational content to the individual needs and learning styles of students. The respondent to the study states especially for teacher training and professional development and also assesses the study of whether teachers possess the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively teach AI concepts and applications to students. This reduces the burden on teachers and allows them to focus on providing targeted support to students who require additional assistance

The development of Ethiopian vocational education and training has faced new challenges concurrently with the advent of the artificial intelligence (AI) era, primarily in the form of vocational education, professional construction, and teaching content, as well as other aspects of transformation and innovation. Faced with the opportunities and challenges in the new period, Ethiopian vocational education should deepen its reform and reform from the angles of specialty setup, teaching material, and teachers, so as to satisfy the talent training objectives in the era of artificial intelligence.
