Outside of News and Gogglebox, viewing numbers were fairly uneventful last night.

- Rebel’s personality is polarising and too bogan. Not surprised at these numbers
- Given she created Bogan Pride, you get a pass. She embraces inner bogan.
- Sure, but that will polarise other section of viewers

- Again, what the hell was SBS thinking and who’s in charge of programming there?
- Wow Pooch Perfect sheds (sorry) 200,000 viewers in a week …was it the corny jokes written for Rebel or the fact it had no real interest to everyday Aussies who don’t really care about dog grooming competitions …
Hmm who would have guessed ?
Plus with paying Rebel a very conservative 1 million dollars this could be a truly shocking return on investment …unless the plan was to sell this series all over the world to recoup the costs .. good luck with that one.- I can see a double episode or two fast approaching , there’s 6 all up I believe.
- I’m getting frustrated with Gogglebox and its fakeness at times. The fact that multiple Goggleboxers dressed up in feather boas and hats to watch the Mardi Gras was so painfully forced. Then Tim’s exclamation that Rebel Wilson was hosting Pooch Perfect was downright embarrassing. Even if you didn’t own a TV there was no escaping that smothering promo.
Just stick to real people and genuine reactions.- Yeah I stopped watching it last year because some of those people are so fake !
- Yeah, there’s no need. The best moments on that show come from the authentic occurrences – sometimes when they’re not even watching TV.

- Even American Survivor last night was dull compared to Australian version! Seemed like it had been badly edited. Are we getting a modified version of the show edited for overseas veiwing?
- Might need to rename it ‘Dogs behaving (very) badly’ lol.
- I meant to add in today’s Newsletter… Monday is a public holiday in Victoria so fewer posts people!
- Do you mean May Day.
- What do you mean by this David?
Sorry if this is a “dumb” question?- It means he lives in Victoria and is having a semi day off
- Monday is a public holiday in Victoria. So he will publish fewer posts.
- A shame that Volcano Live rated so bad. It was surprisingly good.
As for Pooch Perfect. Ouch! - So will Pooch Perfect be leading the Multi Channels next week???
- Probably the week after with AFL starting on the primary channel
- What a terrible night for FTA tv. Nothing much on offer at all.
- If that’s as good as it gets for Pooch Perfect – despite a big name and promoting the absolute socks of it for months – then Seven will view it as a disappointing result. Along with MKR (clearly shot as a major staple) and weak Sunday prime-time (also weakened by MKR not anchoring early part of Sun night) then it’s a highly shaky 2020-Q1 for Seven. Also, on some nights Seven overall looks weaker than Nine (and occasionally Ten and ABC) post-9pm.
The new AFL season and then (fingers crossed) the Olympics just can come soon enough. - That’s assuming the Olympics still goes ahead amidst Coronavirus
- Very true ,they tell us that by May they’ll have a definite answer ,I’m calling it now that it will be cancelled by the end of March ,I hope not but the coronavirus is getting out of hand.
1. Reaction to virus is getting out of hand - And will we even tune in if half the athletes don’t compete? Could be a disaster for Seven.
- Very true ,they tell us that by May they’ll have a definite answer ,I’m calling it now that it will be cancelled by the end of March ,I hope not but the coronavirus is getting out of hand.
- If the Olympics are cancelled, Seven could cobble together a show called Great Australian Scavenger Hunt, where teams compete in a journey around Australia and on the way have to find toilet paper, hand sanitiser and various other items that are scarce like prime time ratings.
- As predicted – looks like Pooch Perfect is going to the dogs.
- Love Rebel but unappealing cast and dreadful format and production.
- Studio 10?
- When I know, you’ll know. Below 45k.
- Thought the lack of numbers might be because it was very low. Given it’s ratings of late I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets chopped very soon.
1. dire ratings for Studio 10 – show is getting tired like the Today Show.
