It seems every Halloween I turn into macgyver *L*
Ten minutes before heading out to trick or treat on Halloween my child (who was dressed as the once-ler from the lorax ) frantically tells me... "My costume isn't ready... I need an ax".
Me: OK. Get me cardboard, tinfoil and duct tape... Hurry!

Made a bookmark for a challenge the other day and ended up making several more in random fandoms ( and even a few for my kids ;) just for fun... thought I'd share *G*

Hello all! Sorry I haven't been around much lately... RL has been a bit crazy. I mentioned a while back that I was making a pledge to myself, and the kids, that this summer I would get back to drawing and painting before I completely forgot how to do anything. And, yeah... it's scary how out of practice I am, but I am trying... dusted off the old sketch book and everything *L* One thing I didn't consider as far as painting goes though. Apparently back when I painted quite a bit, I had a lot more disposable income (and not 3 kids and a mortgage) so I wont be rushing to the craft store for paint, canvas and brushes. But I did decide to go another way with it... and downloaded a trial version of Corel Painter to see what I could learn (before my 30 days run out ) And I got to say it is very Cool... unfortunately the kids keep taking back their drawing tablet, so I'm having to do most of it using the mouse, until I get one of my own... but still, very cool.
So this is my first project using Corel Painter... and shockingly it is not fanish *L*
Found an old black and white pic of my brother and I (I'm the little one ;) and thought I'd see if I could make a painted version. It still needs some touching up here and there, but I thought I might print it on canvas when its done and give it to my dad for fathers day. Since I'm new at this, I would love some feedback. *G*

My daughter Bella is having her 9th birthday tomorrow. She wants a Doctor who theme, which is cool, but of course means I have to get creative cause there is not a' Dr Who' section at the party store *L* The tardis cake will be a challenge, but I did manage to make her some custom shoes using some sharpies and a bit of imagination. Pretty sure she will like them :)
I'll post pics of the cake... if its not a total disaster ;)
