I just realized how bad I have been about updating my random_ship page. So I remedied that by posting 7 new (or not so new if you follow me on tumblr ) castle digital paintings, kinda like this one.. although most not so angsty ;).

I seem to be coping with the season on castle coming to an end by making angsty pictures... not entirely sure why that helps, but whatever works I suppose

I was going to do a real life update, but ironically real life is getting in the way of that... so maybe tomorrow *g*

non fannish art... ok, that's not entirely true. I happen to be a big fan of my kids *L*

Using one of my favorite photos I painted a picture of Bella when she was 2. I thought it would be fun to go back and make painted versions of various favorite photos I've taken over the years. Still learning, so feedback is very much appreciated. Ideally I would like to get to a place where I could give these as gifts some day.

This is the picture I was making that was frustrating me so badly last week. I was working on anatomy and perceptive and to be honest I never quite got it liked I had wanted... but I needed to be done because it was driving me crazy *L*

Playing with the paint program again... so many brushes and mediums to learn. I went for a more surrealistic watercolor feel on this one.
