Currently, the incidence of cyberbullying increase widespread among children and adolescents in I... more Currently, the incidence of cyberbullying increase widespread among children and adolescents in Indonesia. One of eight parents stated that their children have been victims of abused and humiliation through online media. As many as 55% of parents said they knew one child experienced cyberbullying. This study aims to investigate cyberbullying related to daily spiritual experiences, self-esteem and family harmony. Present study also explores the factors that lead to the emergence of the cyberbullying phenomenon among high school students. Cross sectional method was used in this study. ANOVA was also used for data analysis. A total of 150 high school students from three schools in Yogyakarta involved randomly in the study. The results show that there was a significant difference in the level of family harmony and the experience of being a victim among perpetrators with non-perpetrators. The result also found that the perpetrators of cyberbullying who have done more than two times (several times) have high level of family harmony, while the perpetrators who only do one or two times have lower level of family harmony. The implication of study was discussed further.

In recent years cyberbullying has become widespread throughout junior high schools around the wor... more In recent years cyberbullying has become widespread throughout junior high schools around the world, resulting in high numbers of adolescents affected by cybervictimization. Cybervictimization is associated with negative psychological health outcomes. The objective of the present study was to examine the impact and prevalence of cybervictimization in a sample of junior high school students in Jogjakarta, Indonesia. A total of 102 seventh grade students were involved in the study: 72 (70.6%) boys and 30 (29.4%) girls. The majority (80%) of the students in this study reported experiencing cybervictimization occasionally to almost every day. The results suggest a positive relationship between cybervictimization and level of students' psychological distress. General recommendations for anti cyberbullying programmes are discussed.

Cyberbullying has been commonplace practice among Indonesian teenagers engaging in on-line space.... more Cyberbullying has been commonplace practice among Indonesian teenagers engaging in on-line space. However, this phenomenon has not been extensively researched in the context of Indonesia. This present study aims to examine the extent to which level of forgiveness contribute to varying degrees of cyberbullying. It is a quantitative in which the data were drawn from 495 senior high school students in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The research findings revealed that there was a significant correlation of β= .255, p = .011 between level of forgiveness and patterns of response towards cyberbullying and also a correlation of (β=.316, p = .001) between cybervictim and cyberbully. The study concluded with some recommendations with regard to the effect of cyberbullying.

Sense of belonging is the extent to which person feels attached, related and belong in organizati... more Sense of belonging is the extent to which person feels attached, related and belong in organization system. If, a person feels accepted, comfortable, congruence and get recognition from an organization, this condition will motivate the person to share positive contribution to their organization. The problem with Ahmad Dahlan University is a low student sense of belonging to their university. This condition will cause negative effects for university in the future, with increasing several students' negative behaviors such as apathy, unresponsiveness, until higher students drop out. It is needed to evaluate and understand the student's sense of belongings to their university, in order to take preventive action related to a low sense of belongings of students. The aim of this study is to create and develop a sense of belongingness measurement for Ahmad Dahlan University Belongingness Scale (ADUBS), that it will be used to evaluate how high the student sense of belonging to their university. The result of exploratory factor analysis (EFA) showed two dimensions the sense of belongingness constructs that represent the sense of belongings of student to their university namely University belongings and Community belongings. The next result from confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) using structural equation modeling (SEM) confirms that measurement model of ADUBs was fitted with empirical data (Chisquare = 39.054, with p > .001, degree of freedom = 36, CMIN = 1.085, RMSEA =. 022, NFI = .918, TLI = .989, GFI= .961, and CFI= .993.

The aim of this study is to explore the sources of job stress and type of coping among academic s... more The aim of this study is to explore the sources of job stress and type of coping among academic staff from two countries; namely Pahang, Malaysia and Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This study used qualitative design, and phenomenology technique conducted to analyze the data. Twenty two academic staffs were involved in this study. The result found several interesting findings. Seven stressors categories were found; (1) inadequate role occupancy, (2) increasing work demands, (3) deficient role preparedness, (4) insufficient role support, (5) role ambiguity, (6) role conflict and work-family conflict. There were four responses of stress that was showed by university academic staffs, namely: (1) behavioral responses, (2) emotional responses, (3) cognitive responses, and (4) physiological responses. The reason that lead respondents still continue work as academic staff are (1) being a lecturer was the choice of his/her life, (2) teaching was noble work, (3) could share knowledge with others/students, (4) love the profession as a lecturer, and (5) feel happy to teach and discuss with students. The coping strategy that always used by academic staffs to cope with job related stress were five coping strategy patterns, namely: (1) problem focused coping, (2) emotion focused coping, (3) seeking social support, (4) using religious coping, and (5) making meaning. 44 task), time pressure, deadline task, excessive workloads, and conflicting demands, work allocation, students' misbehavior, time and resource difficulties, professional recognition, interpersonal conflict, job satisfaction, and work-roles stressors, role ambiguity, and performance pressure. Some factors are extrinsic to the job, such as leadership ethics and practices, time management, community problems, family problems, homework interface, financial problems, health problem, and life stress [11]-[23].

Present study explored the relationships between gratitude and forgiveness with happiness among college student. A total of 81 undergarduate psychology students were recruited in this study from a private university in Jogjakarta. 29.6% (24) of the sample were males and 70.4% (57) were females. Regression analysis was used to predict the relationship between all variables. Regression analysis predict relationship between gratitude and forgiveness with happiness, explaining 28.9% of the variance (Adjusted R 2 = 0.289).Gratitude give the biggest contribution to happiness (= .536 p= .000), but forgiveness has no significance relationship to happiness (= .078, p= .414). This result means that gratitude is an important factor contributes to happiness among undergraduate student in this sample.

Several significant stressors that consistently increase job stress such as poor working conditions, lack of support from management, lack of appreciation and benefits, limited participation in decision making, and lack of training how to cope with job stress. The present study also investigates how role stressors, job insecurity, leadership practices, and religious coping, predict job stress among university academic staff. How interrelationship between role stressors, leadership practices to job stress is mediated by job insecurity. The samples of the study are 337 academic staffs from Jogjakarta, Indonesia. SEM analysis was used to test the hypotheses. In Jogjakarta academic staff, religious coping just significantly buffered the effect of the antecedents-job stress model, but not significantly moderated the effect of the antecedents-job insecurity model.

Job stress is a universal problem for many academic staff, but there is still few study considers... more Job stress is a universal problem for many academic staff, but there is still few study considers the existence of mediating factor of job insecurity on job stress, especially in Malay academic staff. This study aims are to examines the effect of leadership practices, the mediating effects of job insecurity on job stress among Malay academic staff. Survey design with quantitative approach was used. 124 questionnaires were completed. First step, data is analyzed to examine the reliability and validity of measurement. Second, the structural model is tested to examine relationship between job insecurity practices as mediator variable to job stress. All data was processed using SPSS 15 and Amos 18. The result of path analysis using structural equation modeling showed that job insecurity significantly mediated leadership practices to job stress (r = 0.199, p = .017 < .05). Leadership practice has a direct effect to job stress, and has indirect effect but mediated by job insecurity.
