They would conspire to dismantle the security system of the Barcelona Olympic Stadium, kidnap three hundred journalists and demand, in exchange for their release, the recognition of Catalonia as a sovereign country in Europe. This article offers a contextualised and critical reading of the novel 'El complot dels anells' within the parameters of the representations of violence and space.

The goal is to examine and interpret literature, performing arts, music, and dance as reflections of contemporary emotional regimes. The essays in the book address two primary objectives regarding the presence of emotions in today's world. Firstly, they explore discourses on pain, vulnerability, anger or resilience, among other concepts, to explain how emotions and affects manifest in culture. Secondly, they examine the mechanisms by which art can either challenge or reproduce societal affective mandates.

A. Jordana, and "Crim" (1936), by Mercè Rodoreda. The comparative analysis aims to show how "Crim", in addition to working as a parody of the principles of the detective story, can be read as a parody of an earlier parody of the same genre –that is, the text by Jordana. This rewriting exercise strengthens the hypertextual link between these two novels and results in what we may call, following the terminology by Gérard Genette, a hyperparody.

Therefore, the question we start from is: what is the garden in Verdaguer’s poetry? Undoubtedly, the answer requires to invert the elements of the formulation and consider what Verdaguer is in that delimited space which we name “garden”. In a work like this, we cannot ignore the close relation that place and person maintain, whereby the no-place of the interior experience is exteriorly visualised in a concrete where.
